Du bist die Luft, und Du bist der höchste Herrscher! Du bist das Feuer, Du bist das Wasser, und Du bist der Mond! Du bist Brahmā, das ersterschaffene Lebewesen, und Du bist der Urgroßvater. Deshalb erweise ich Dir tausendmal, immer und immer wieder, meine achtungsvollen Ehrerbietungen!
You are air, and You are the supreme controller! You are fire, You are water, and You are the moon! You are Brahmā, the first living creature, and You are the great-grandfather. I therefore offer my respectful obeisances unto You a thousand times, and again and yet again!

ERLÄUTERUNG: Der Herr wird hier als vāyu (Luft) angesprochen, denn die Luft ist die wichtigste Repräsentation der Halbgötter, da sie alles durchdringt. Arjuna spricht Kṛṣṇa hier auch als Urgroßvater an, weil Er der Vater Brahmās, des ersten erschaffenen Lebewesens im Universum, ist.
The Lord is addressed here as air because the air is the most important representation of all the demigods, being all-pervasive. Arjuna also addresses Kṛṣṇa as the great-grandfather because He is the father of Brahmā, the first living creature in the universe.
