saṁhatya — střetem; anyonyam — vzájemným; ubhayoḥ — obou; tejasī — záře; śara — zbraně; saṁvṛte — zakrývající; āvṛtya — zakrývající; rodasī — celá nebeská klenba; kham ca — také vnější prostor; vavṛdhāte — rostoucí; arka — sluneční koule; vahni-vat — jako oheň.

Translation

Když se paprsky těch dvou brahmāster střetly, všechen vnější prostor a celou nebeskou klenbu zakryl velký ohnivý kotouč podobný slunečnímu disku.

When the rays of the two brahmāstras combined, a great circle of fire, like the disc of the sun, covered all outer space and the whole firmament of planets.

Význam

Purport

Žár vzniklý výbuchem brahmāstry připomíná oheň na slunci v době vesmírného zničení. Ve srovnání s tímto žárem je atomová radiace úplně bezvýznamná. Výbuch atomové bomby může rozmetat nanejvýš jednu planetu, ale teplo brahmāstry má schopnost zlikvidovat celou vesmírnou soustavu. Proto se přirovnává k žáru v době zničení.

The heat created by the flash of a brahmāstra resembles the fire exhibited in the sun globe at the time of cosmic annihilation. The radiation of atomic energy is very insignificant in comparison to the heat produced by a brahmāstra. The atomic bomb explosion can at utmost blow up one globe, but the heat produced by the brahmāstra can destroy the whole cosmic situation. The comparison is therefore made to the heat at the time of annihilation.
