tatraivaṁ sati kartāram
ātmānaṁ kevalaṁ tu yaḥ
paśyaty akṛta-buddhitvān
na sa paśyati durmatiḥ

Traducción

Translation

Por lo tanto, aquel que cree que es el único autor, haciendo caso omiso de los cinco factores, sin duda que no es muy inteligente y no puede ver las cosas tal como son.

Therefore one who thinks himself the only doer, not considering the five factors, is certainly not very intelligent and cannot see things as they are.

Significado

Purport

Una persona necia no puede entender que la Superalma se encuentra dentro como un amigo y que está dirigiendo sus acciones. Aunque las causas materiales son el lugar, el trabajador, el esfuerzo y los sentidos, la causa final es el Supremo, la Personalidad de Dios. En consecuencia, uno no solo debe ver las cuatro causas materiales, sino también la suprema causa eficiente. Aquel que no ve al Supremo, cree que él mismo es el autor.

A foolish person cannot understand that the Supersoul is sitting as a friend within and conducting his actions. Although the material causes are the place, the worker, the endeavor and the senses, the final cause is the Supreme, the Personality of Godhead. Therefore, one should see not only the four material causes but the supreme efficient cause as well. One who does not see the Supreme thinks himself to be the doer.
