samaḥ syāt sukha-duḥkhābhyāṁ
mṛtyu-jīvitayos tathā
джайа̄паджайайор апи
самах̣ сйа̄т сукха-дух̣кха̄бхйа̄м̇

Translation
Перевод
Since everything is dependent on the supreme will of the Personality of Godhead, one should be equipoised in fame and defamation, victory and defeat, life and death. In their effects, represented as happiness and distress, one should maintain oneself in equilibrium, without anxiety.
Зная, что все подчинено высшей воле Господа, следует хранить спокойствие при любых поворотах судьбы: в славе и позоре, в победе и поражении, в жизни и в смерти. Что бы ни пришло к нам — счастье или горе, — следует оставаться невозмутимым и непоколебимым.
