tat-sṛṣṭa-sṛṣṭa-sṛṣṭeṣu
ko nv akhaṇḍita-dhīḥ pumān
ṛṣiṁ nārāyaṇam ṛte
yoṣin-mayyeha māyayā

Translation

Dentre todas as espécies de entidades vivas geradas por Brahmā, a saber, homens, semideuses e animais, ninguém além do sábio Nārāyaṇa é imune à atração de māyā sob a forma da mulher.

Amongst all kinds of living entities begotten by Brahmā, namely men, demigods and animals, none but the sage Nārāyaṇa is immune to the attraction of māyā in the form of woman.

Purport

A primeira criatura viva é o próprio Brahmā, de quem foram criados sábios como Marīci, que, por sua vez, criaram Kaśyapa Muni e outros, e Kaśyapa Muni e os Manus criaram diferentes semideuses, seres humanos etc. Mas não há ninguém entre eles que não se sinta atraído pelo encanto de māyā sob a forma da mulher. Em todo o mundo material, começando de Brahmā e descendo até pequenas e insignificantes criaturas como a formiga, todos se sentem atraídos pela vida sexual. Esse é o princípio básico deste mundo material. O fato de o senhor Brahmā ter-se sentido atraído por sua filha é o exemplo vívido de que ninguém está isento da atração sexual pela mulher. A mulher, portanto, é a maravilhosa criação de māyā para manter a alma condicionada algemada.

The first living creature is Brahmā himself, and from him were created sages like Marīci, who in their turn created Kaśyapa Muni and others, and Kaśyapa Muni and the Manus created different demigods and human beings, etc. But there is none among them who is not attracted by the spell of māyā in the form of woman. Throughout the entire material world, beginning from Brahmā down to the small, insignificant creatures like the ant, everyone is attracted by sex life. That is the basic principle of this material world. Lord Brahmā’s being attracted by his daughter is the vivid example that no one is exempt from sexual attraction to woman. Therefore woman, is the wonderful creation of māyā to keep the conditioned soul in shackles.
