«Como Kṛṣṇa y Nārāyaṇa son la misma persona, el hecho de que Lakṣmī se relacione con Kṛṣṇa no rompe su voto de castidad. El deseo de la diosa de la fortuna de relacionarse con el Señor Kṛṣṇa era una forma de divertirse.»

Ésta es una respuesta a la pregunta del Señor Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; esta respuesta nos permite deducir que Veṅkaṭa Bhaṭṭa conocía la verdad. Veṅkaṭa Bhaṭṭa dijo a Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu que Nārāyaṇa es una forma de Kṛṣṇa relacionada con la opulencia trascendental. Aunque Kṛṣṇa tiene dos brazos y Nārāyaṇa cuatro, la persona es la misma. Son el mismo. Nārāyaṇa es tan hermoso como Kṛṣṇa, pero los pasatiempos de Kṛṣṇa son juegos. Aunque los pasatiempos de Kṛṣṇa sean juegos, no por ello Kṛṣṇa es diferente de Nārāyaṇa. This is the answer to Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s question, and from this we can understand that Veṅkaṭa Bhaṭṭa knew the truth. He told Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu that Nārāyaṇa is a form of Kṛṣṇa associated with transcendental opulence. Although Kṛṣṇa is two-armed and Nārāyaṇa four-armed, there is no difference in the person. They are one and the same. Nārāyaṇa is as beautiful as Kṛṣṇa, but Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes are more sportive. It is not that the sportive pastimes of Kṛṣṇa make Him different from Nārāyaṇa. Lakṣmī’s desiring to associate with Kṛṣṇa was perfectly natural. In other words, it is understandable that a chaste woman wants to associate with her husband in all his different dresses. Therefore one should not criticize Lakṣmī for wanting to associate with Kṛṣṇa.
