Traducción

Translation

Sentían tanta ansiedad por ver al Señor, que todos ellos pasaron por alto los principios regulativos y, para poder ver la cara del Señor, fueron hasta el lugar donde se ofrecía la comida.

Out of great eagerness to see the Lord, they all neglected the regulative principles and, just to see the Lord’s face, went to the place where the food was offered.

Significado

Purport

En la adoración de la Deidad hay muchos principios regulativos. Por ejemplo, no se permite la entrada en la habitación en que se ofrece la comida al Señor Jagannātha. Pero, en este caso, la gente tenía tal deseo de ver al Señor, después de quince días de no verle, que pasaron por alto todos los principios regulativos y entraron en la habitación.

There are many regulative principles of Deity worship. For example, one is not allowed to enter the room where food is offered to Lord Jagannātha. But in this case, being very eager because of not having seen the Lord for fifteen days, all the people overruled the regulative principles and entered the room.
