Translation

Tras mostrar Su misericordia al brāhmaṇa, el Señor Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu partió al día siguiente hacia Vṛddhakāśī, donde visitó el templo del Señor Śiva.

After showing mercy to the brāhmaṇa, Lord Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu left the next day and arrived at Vṛddhakāśī, where He visited the temple of Lord Śiva.

Significado

Purport

El nombre actual de Vṛddhakāśī es Vṛddhācalam. Está situada en el distrito meridional de Arcot, a orillas del río Maṇimukha. Ese lugar se conoce también con el nombre de Kālahastipura. El templo del Señor Śiva del lugar fue adorado durante muchos años por Govinda, el primo de Rāmānujācārya.

Vṛddhakāśī’s present name is Vṛddhācalam. It is situated in the southern Arcot district on the bank of the river Maṇimukha. This place is also known as Kālahastipura. Lord Śiva’s temple there was worshiped for many years by Govinda, the cousin of Rāmānujācārya.
