Translation

Como último recurso, la esposa sugirió al nawab que despojase a Subuddhi Rāya de su casta y le hiciese musulmán, pero Hussain Khān contestó que, si hacía eso, Subuddhi Rāya no podría seguir viviendo.

As a last alternative, the wife suggested that the Nawab take away Subuddhi Rāya’s caste and turn him into a Muslim, but Hussain Khān replied that if he did this, Subuddhi Rāya would not live.
