यदा तु सर्वभूतेषु दारुष्वग्निमिव स्थितम् ।
प्रतिचक्षीत मां लोको जह्यात्तर्ह्येव कश्मलम् ॥ ३२ ॥

dāruṣv agnim iva sthitam
praticakṣīta māṁ loko
jahyāt tarhy eva kaśmalam

Tradução

You will see Me in all living entities as well as all over the universe, just as fire is situated in wood. Only in that state of transcendental vision will you be able to be free from all kinds of illusion.

Tu Me verás em todas as entidades vivas, bem como em todo o universo, assim como o fogo está situado na madeira. Apenas nesse estado de visão transcendental é que serás capaz de livrar-te de todos os tipos de ilusão.

Comentário

Brahmā prayed that he might not forget his eternal relationship with the Lord during the course of his material activities. In answer to that prayer, the Lord said that he should not think of existing without a relationship with His omnipotency. The example is given of the fire in wood. The fire kindled in wood is always the same, although the wood may be of different types. Similarly, the bodies within the material creation may be specifically different according to shape and quality, but the spirit souls within them are not different from one another. The quality of fire, warmth, is the same everywhere, and the spiritual spark, or part and parcel of the Supreme Spirit, is the same in every living being; thus the potency of the Lord is distributed all over His creation. This transcendental knowledge alone can save one from the contamination of material illusion. Since the Lord’s potency is distributed everywhere, a pure soul, or devotee of the Lord, can see everything in relationship with the Lord, and therefore he has no affection for the outer coverings. That pure spiritual conception makes him immune to all contamination of material association. The pure devotee never forgets the touch of the Lord in all circumstances.

Brahmā orou para que não se esquecesse de seu relacionamento eterno com o Senhor durante o transcurso de suas atividades materiais. Em resposta a essa oração, o Senhor disse que ele não deveria pensar em existir sem uma relação com a Sua onipotência. Aqui se dá o exemplo do fogo na madeira. Embora a madeira seja de diferentes tipos, o fogo ligado a ela é sempre o mesmo. Analogamente, os corpos dentro da criação material podem ser especificamente diferentes de acordo com forma e qualidade, mas as almas espirituais dentro deles não são diferentes umas das outras. A qualidade do fogo, o calor, é a mesma em toda parte, e a centelha espiritual, ou a parte integrante do Espírito Supremo, é a mesma em todo ser vivo; desta maneira, a potência do Senhor está distribuída por toda a Sua criação. Esse conhecimento transcendental já é suficiente para nos salvar da contaminação da ilusão material. Uma vez que a potência do Senhor está distribuída por toda parte, uma alma pura, ou devoto do Senhor, pode ver tudo em relação com o Senhor, daí não ter afeição pelas coberturas externas. Essa concepção espiritual pura a torna imune a toda a contaminação do contato com a matéria. O devoto puro nunca se esquece de que está em contato com o Senhor em todas as circunstâncias.
