आत्मात्मजाप्तगृहवित्तजनेषु सक्तै-
र्दुष्प्रापणाय गुणसङ्गविवर्जिताय ।
मुक्तात्मभि: स्वहृदये परिभाविताय
ज्ञानात्मने भगवते नम ईश्वराय ॥ १८ ॥

ātmātma-jāpta-gṛha-vitta-janeṣu saktair
duṣprāpaṇāya guṇa-saṅga-vivarjitāya
muktātmabhiḥ sva-hṛdaye paribhāvitāya
jñānātmane bhagavate nama īśvarāya

My Lord, those who are completely freed from material contamination always meditate upon You within the cores of their hearts. You are extremely difficult to attain for those like me who are too attached to mental concoction, home, relatives, friends, money, servants and assistants. You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead, uncontaminated by the modes of nature. You are the reservoir of all enlightenment, the supreme controller. I therefore offer my respectful obeisances unto You.

Meu Senhor, aqueles que são inteiramente livres da contaminação material sempre meditam em Vós no âmago de seus corações. Sois extremamente difícil de ser alcançado por aqueles que, como eu, estão demasiadamente apegados à invenção mental, ao lar, aos parentes, aos amigos, ao dinheiro, aos servos e aos assistentes. Sois a Suprema Personalidade de Deus, não contaminado pelos modos da natureza material. Sois o reservatório de toda a iluminação, o controlador supremo. Comentário

Although the Supreme Personality of Godhead comes into the material world, He is unaffected by the modes of material nature. This is confirmed in Īśopaniṣad. Apāpa-viddham: He is not contaminated. This same fact is described here. Guṇa-saṅga-vivarjitāya. Although the Supreme Personality of Godhead appears as an incarnation within this material world, He is unaffected by the modes of material nature. As stated in Bhagavad-gītā (9.11), avajānanti māṁ mūḍhā mānuṣīṁ tanum āśritam: foolish men with insufficient knowledge deride the Personality of Godhead because He appears just like a human being. Therefore the Supreme Personality of Godhead can be understood only by the muktātmā, the liberated soul. Muktātmabhiḥ sva-hṛdaye paribhāvitāya: only the liberated person can constantly think of Kṛṣṇa. Such a person is the greatest of all yogīs.

SIGNIFICADO—Embora venha ao mundo material, a Suprema Personalidade de Deus não Se deixa afetar pelos modos da natureza material. Confirma isso a Īśopaniṣad. Apāpa-viddham: Ele não é contaminado. Descreve-se aqui esse mesmo fato. Guṇa-saṅga-vivarjitāya. Embora apareça como uma encarnação dentro deste mundo material, a Suprema Personalidade de Deus não Se afeta com os modos da natureza material. Como se afirma na Bhagavad-gītā (9.11), avajānanti māṁ mūḍhā mānuṣīṁ tanum āśritam: os homens tolos e sem conhecimento o suficiente zombam da Personalidade de Deus porque Ele aparece exatamente como um ser humano. Portanto, a Suprema Personalidade de Deus pode ser entendida apenas pelo muktātmā, a alma liberada. Muktātmabhiḥ sva-hṛdaye paribhāvitāya: apenas a pessoa liberada pode pensar em Kṛṣṇa constantemente. Tal pessoa é o maior de todos os yogīs.

yoginām api sarveṣāṁ
mad-gatenāntarātmanā
śraddhāvān bhajate yo māṁ
sa me yuktatamo mataḥ

“Of all yogīs, he who always abides in Me with great faith, worshiping Me in transcendental loving service, is most intimately united with Me in yoga and is the highest of all.” (Bg. 6.47)

“De todos os yogīs, aquele que sempre se refugia em Mim com muita fé, adorando-Me com transcendental serviço amoroso, está muito intimamente unido a Mim através do yoga e é o mais elevado de todos.” (Bhagavad-gītā 6.47)
