[Śukadeva Gosvāmī continued:] Thus firmly fixing his determination by means of his spiritual intelligence, Sudāmā remained absolutely devoted to Lord Kṛṣṇa, the shelter of all living beings. Free from avarice, he enjoyed, together with his wife, the sense pleasures that had been bestowed upon him, always with the idea of eventually renouncing all sense gratification.

[Śukadeva Gosvāmī continuou:] Assim fixando firmemente sua determinação por meio de uma inteligência espiritual, Sudāmā permaneceu cem por cento devotado ao Senhor Kṛṣṇa, o abrigo de todos os seres vivos. Livre de ganância, ele desfrutou, junto de sua esposa, os prazeres dos sentidos que lhe haviam sido outorgados, sempre com a ideia de, por fim, renunciar a todo gozo dos sentidos.
