mitra-dhruṅ māṁ jighāṁsasi
atas tvāṁ gadayā manda
haniṣye vajra-kalpayā

Tradução

“You are our maternal cousin, Kṛṣṇa, but You committed violence against my friends, and now You want to kill me also. Therefore, fool, I will kill You with my thunderbolt club.

“És nosso primo materno, Kṛṣṇa, mas cometeste violência a meus amigos, e agora queres matar-me também. Portanto, tolo, vou matar-Te com minha maça poderosa como um raio.”

Comentário

The ācāryas have given the following alternate grammatical division of the third line of this verse: atas tvāṁ gadayā amanda, in which case Dantavakra says, “My dear Lord Kṛṣṇa, You are amanda [not foolish], and therefore with Your powerful club You will now send me back home, back to Godhead.” This is the inner meaning of this verse.

SIGNIFICADO—Os ācāryas apresentam a seguinte divisão gramatical alternativa da ter­ceira linha deste verso: atas tvāṁ gadayā amanda, e, neste caso, Dan­tavakra diz: “Meu querido Senhor Kṛṣṇa, és amanda [não tolo], motivo pelo qual, com Tua poderosa maça, agora me enviarás de volta ao lar, de volta ao Supremo.” Este é o sentido oculto deste verso.
