अनुजानीहि मां कृष्ण सर्वं त्वं वेत्सि सर्वद‍ृक् ।
त्वमेव जगतां नाथो जगदेतत्तवार्पितम् ॥ ३९ ॥

My dear Kṛṣṇa, I now humbly request permission to leave. Actually, You are the knower and seer of all things. Indeed, You are the Lord of all the universes, and yet I offer this one universe unto You.

Meu querido Kṛṣṇa, agora humildemente peço permissão para partir. De fato, sois o conhecedor e vidente de tudo. E embora sejais o Senhor de todos os universos, ofereço este universo a Vós.

In his Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Śrīla Prabhupāda has quoted Lord Brahmā as follows: “My dear Lord, although You are the Supreme Lord of all creation, I sometimes falsely think that I am the master of this universe. I may be master of this universe, but there are innumerable universes, and there are also innumerable Brahmās who preside over these universes. But actually You are the master of them all. As the Supersoul in everyone’s heart, You know everything. Please, therefore, accept me as Your surrendered servant. I hope that You will excuse me for disturbing You in Your pastimes with Your friends and calves. Now if You will kindly allow me, I will immediately leave so You can enjoy Your friends and calves without my presence.”

SIGNIFICADO—Em seu Kṛṣṇa, a Suprema Personalidade de Deus, Śrīla Prabhupāda cita o senhor Brahmā da seguinte maneira: “Meu querido Senhor, embora sejais o Senhor Supremo de toda a criação, às vezes erroneamente julgo-me o amo deste universo. Posso ser amo deste universo, mas há inúmeros universos, e há também inúmeros Brahmās que governam esses universos. Mas de fato sois o senhor de todos eles. Como a Superalma no coração de todos, sabeis tudo. Portanto, aceitai-me, por favor, como Vosso servo rendido. Espero que me desculpeis por perturbar-Vos em Vossos passatempos com Vossos amigos e bezerros. Agora, se tiverdes a bondade de me permitir, eu partirei imediatamente; assim podereis desfrutar com Vossos amigos e bezerros sem minha presença.”

The words sarvaṁ tvaṁ vetsi sarva-dṛk are very significant here. Lord Kṛṣṇa knows everything and sees everything, and therefore Lord Brahmā did not need to remain in Vṛndāvana to maintain his personal loving contact with the Lord. In fact, as the creator of the universe, Lord Brahmā was somewhat out of place in the simple, blissful atmosphere of Vṛndāvana, where Lord Kṛṣṇa was exhibiting His supreme opulences in herding cows, enjoying picnics, playing games, and so on.

As palavras sarvaṁ tvaṁ vetsi sarva-dṛk são muito significativas neste contexto. O Senhor Kṛṣṇa sabe tudo e vê tudo; logo, o senhor Brahmā não precisava permanecer em Vṛndāvana para manter seu contato amoroso pessoal com o Senhor. De fato, como criador do universo, o senhor Brahmā encontrava-se um tanto deslocado na atmosfera simples e bem-aventurada de Vṛndāvana, onde o Senhor Kṛṣṇa exibia Suas supremas opulências, pastoreando vacas, fazendo piqueniques, brincando e assim por diante.

Upon seeing the intense love the residents of Vṛndāvana had for Lord Kṛṣṇa, Brahmā felt unqualified to remain there. He was not eager to give up the Lord’s association, but he felt it better to return to his personal devotional service in Brahmaloka. Somewhat embarrassed and unhappy over his foolish attempt at bewildering the Lord, Brahmā preferred to resume his transcendental loving service rather than try to enjoy the Lord’s presence.

Ao ver o intenso amor que os residentes de Vṛndāvana tinham pelo Senhor Kṛṣṇa, Brahmā se sentiu desqualificado para permanecer ali. Ele não estava ávido por deixar a companhia do Senhor, mas achou melhor voltar a seu serviço devocional pessoal em Brahmaloka. Um tanto embaraçado e infeliz em virtude de sua tola tentativa de confundir o Senhor, Brahmā preferiu retomar seu transcendental serviço amoroso em vez de tentar desfrutar da presença do Senhor.
