सोऽयं स्थितिव्यतिकरोपशमाय सृष्टान्
सत्त्वेन न: सुरगणाननुमेयतत्त्व: ।
द‍ृश्याददभ्रकरुणेन विलोकनेन
यच्छ्रीनिकेतममलं क्षिपतारविन्दम् ॥ ५७ ॥

sattvena naḥ sura-gaṇān anumeya-tattvaḥ
dṛśyād adabhra-karuṇena vilokanena
yac chrī-niketam amalaṁ kṣipatāravindam

Let that Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is understood by truly authorized Vedic literature and who has created peace and prosperity to destroy all calamities of the created world, be kind enough to bestow His glance upon the demigods. His merciful glance can supersede the beauty of the spotless lotus flower which is the home of the goddess of fortune.

Que esta Suprema Personalidade de Deus, que é compreendida através de literatura védica realmente autorizada e que cria paz e prosperidade para destruir todas as calamidades do mundo criado, tenha a bondade de lançar Seu olhar sobre os semideuses. Seu olhar misericordioso pode superar a beleza da flor de lótus imaculada, que é o lar da deusa da fortuna.

Comentário

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the origin of the cosmic manifestation, is covered by the wonderful activities of material nature, just as outer space or the illumination of the sun and moon is sometimes covered by clouds or dust. It is very difficult to find the origin of the cosmic manifestation; therefore material scientists conclude that nature is the ultimate cause of all manifestations. But from śāstra, or authentic literature like Bhagavad-gītā and other Vedic scriptures, we understand that behind this wonderful cosmic manifestation is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and in order to maintain the regular procedures of the cosmic manifestation and to be visible to the eyes of persons who are in the mode of goodness, the Lord appears. He is the cause of the creation and dissolution of the cosmic manifestation. The demigods therefore prayed for His merciful glance upon them in order to be blessed.

SIGNIFICADO—A Suprema Personalidade de Deus, que é a origem da manifestação cósmica, oculta-Se sob as atividades maravilhosas da natureza material, assim como o espaço exterior ou a iluminação do Sol e da Lua às vezes são cobertos por nuvens ou poeira. É muito difícil encontrar a origem da manifestação cósmica; portanto, os cientistas materiais concluem que a natureza é a causa final de todas as manifestações. Porém, segundo o śāstra, ou a literatura autêntica, como a Bhagavad-gītā e outras escrituras védicas, compreendemos que, por trás desta maravilhosa manifestação cósmica, está a Suprema Personalidade de Deus, e, a fim de manter o processo regular da manifestação cósmica e ser visível aos olhos das pessoas que estão no modo da bondade, o Senhor aparece.
