Translation
No futuro, filósofos ou cientistas eruditos talvez consigam contar todos os átomos da terra, as partículas de neve ou até mesmo as brilhantes moléculas que irradiam do Sol, das estrelas e de outros corpos luminosos. Mas dentre estes homens eruditos, qual deles poderia contar as ilimitadas qualidades transcendentais possuídas por Vós, a Suprema Personalidade de Deus, que descestes à superfície da Terra para o benefício de todas as entidades vivas?
In time, learned philosophers or scientists might be able to count all the atoms of the earth, the particles of snow, or perhaps even the shining molecules radiating from the sun, the stars and other luminaries. But among these learned men, who could possibly count the unlimited transcendental qualities possessed by You, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who have descended onto the surface of the earth for the benefit of all living entities?

SIGNIFICADO—Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī explica que o Senhor Kṛṣṇa é guṇātmā, “a alma de todas as qualidades superiores”, porque Ele lhes proporciona a vida. Por exemplo, podem-se discutir de maneira abstrata qualidades tais como generosidade, inteligência e misericórdia, mas elas só ganham vida quando uma pessoa viva as exibe. Logo, o Senhor Kṛṣṇa é guṇātmā porque Ele desce ao mundo material e restabelece os princípios religiosos mediante o fato de Ele mesmo exibir todas as qualidades divinas e inspirar os outros a adotá-las. Uma entidade viva que desenvolve as qualidades transcendentais encontradas no Senhor recebe incomensurável benefício e, por fim, volta com o Senhor para Sua própria morada, onde todos os seres vivos são liberados e plenamente dotados de natureza transcendental.
Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī explains that Lord Kṛṣṇa is guṇātmā, “the soul of all superior qualities,” because He gives them life. For example, one may discuss in an abstract way such qualities as generosity, intelligence and mercy, but they come to life only when a living person exhibits them. Thus Lord Kṛṣṇa is guṇātmā because He descends to the material world and reestablishes religious principles by exhibiting all godly qualities Himself and inspiring them in others. A living entity who develops the transcendental qualities found in the Lord receives immeasurable benefit and eventually goes with the Lord back to His own abode, where all living beings are liberated and fully endowed with the transcendental nature.
Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī explica ainda que o Senhor manifesta uma qualidade espiritual específica para o benefício de cada entidade viva. Visto que existem inumeráveis entidades vivas dentro dos confins da criação material, o Senhor manifesta qualidades infinitas. Portanto, cada alma condicionada pode apreciar o Senhor Supremo de um modo particular.
Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī further explains that the Lord manifests a specific spiritual quality for the benefit of each living entity. Since there are innumerable living entities within the confines of the material creation, the Lord manifests infinite qualities. Thus every conditioned soul can appreciate the Supreme Lord in a particular way.
Apresenta-se aqui o exemplo de que mesmo que os mais eruditos estudiosos pudessem algum dia contar as partículas de terra, neve e luz, eles ainda assim não conseguiriam compreender as qualidades do Senhor. The example is given here that even if the most learned scholars could someday count the particles of earth, snow and light, they would still fail to understand the qualities of the Lord. In this example earth, snow and light are progressively more subtle; thus it is to be understood that there is an increasing difficulty in counting their virtually infinite particles.
Segundo Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura, grandes personalidades como o Senhor Saṅkarṣaṇa de fato contaram o número de átomos da terra e mesmo das moléculas do universo inteiro. Contudo, nem mesmo uma personalidade como Saṅkarṣaṇa, que está sempre a cantar continuamente as glórias do Senhor desde tempos imemoriais, conseguiu sequer chegar perto da contagem final dessas glórias.
According to Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura, great personalities like Lord Saṅkarṣaṇa actually have counted the number of atoms on the earth, and even the molecules in the entire universe. Yet even such a personality as Saṅkarṣaṇa, who has been continuously chanting the glories of the Lord since time immemorial, has not even approached a final count of those glories.
O Senhor Kṛṣṇa exibe Suas mais surpreendentes qualidades durante Seus passatempos infantis em Vṛndāvana, nos quais Ele rouba manteiga das vaqueiras, dança com Suas namoradas e brinca com Seus amigos vaqueirinhos como o mais querido companheiro deles. Embora pareçam atividades humanas comuns, tais passatempos sublimes contêm em si as imensuráveis e incontáveis belas qualidades transcendentais do Senhor Kṛṣṇa, as quais são a vida e alma dos devotos puros.
Lord Kṛṣṇa exhibits His most astonishing qualities during His childhood pastimes in Vṛndāvana, where He steals butter from the cowherd ladies, dances with His girlfriends, and plays with His cowherd boyfriends as their most dear companion. Although appearing like ordinary human activities, such sublime pastimes embody Lord Kṛṣṇa’s immeasurable and innumerable beautiful transcendental qualities, which are the life and soul of the pure devotees.
