dūre gāna śuni’ prabhura ha-ila āveśa
strī, puruṣa, ke gāya, — nā jāne viśeṣa

Translation

Hearing the song from a distance, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu immediately became ecstatic. He did not know whether it was a man or a woman singing.
