Lord Paraśurāma, being expert in killing the military strength of the enemy, worked with the speed of the mind and the wind, slicing his enemies with his chopper [paraśu]. Wherever he went, the enemies fell, their legs, arms and shoulders being severed, their chariot drivers killed, and their carriers, the elephants and horses, all annihilated.
O Senhor Paraśurāma, sendo hábil em destruir a força militar do inimigo, agiu com a velocidade da mente e do vento, retalhando os inimigos com seu cutelo [paraśu]. Aonde quer que ele fosse, seus inimigos caíam, com suas pernas, braços e ombros decepados, seus quadrigários mortos, e seus carregadores, os elefantes e os cavalos, todos aniquilados.

Comentário
In the beginning, when the army of the enemy was full of fighting soldiers, elephants and horses, Lord Paraśurāma proceeded into their midst at the speed of mind to kill them. When somewhat tired, he slowed down to the speed of wind and continued to kill the enemies vigorously. The speed of mind is greater than the speed of the wind.
SIGNIFICADO—No começo, quando o exército inimigo estava repleto de soldados combatentes, elefantes e cavalos, o Senhor Paraśurāma infiltrou-se entre eles na velocidade da mente para matá-los. Quando estava um pouco cansado, ele ficou mais lento, agindo na velocidade do vento, mas continuou a matar os inimigos vigorosamente. A velocidade da mente é maior do que a do vento.
