sandaṣṭa-daśana-cchadaḥ
kopojjvaladbhyāṁ cakṣurbhyāṁ
nirīkṣan dhūmram ambaram

Filled with rage and biting his lips, Hiraṇyakaśipu gazed at the sky with eyes that blazed in anger, making the whole sky smoky. Thus he began to speak.

Cheio de raiva e mordendo seus lábios, Hiraṇyakaśipu contemplou o céu com olhos que ardiam em fúria, fazendo todo o céu encher-se de fumaça. Foi então que ele começou a falar.

Comentário

As usual, the demon is envious of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and inimical toward Him. These were Hiraṇyakaśipu’s external bodily features as he considered how to kill Lord Viṣṇu and devastate His kingdom, Vaikuṇṭhaloka.

SIGNIFICADO—Como de costume, o demônio inveja a Suprema Personalidade de Deus e é inimigo dEle. Enquanto buscava um meio de matar o Senhor Viṣṇu e devastar Seu reino, Vaikuṇṭhaloka, Hiraṇyakaśipu apresentava esses aspectos físicos externos.
