After this incident the Lord ate raw rice given by Śuklāmbara Brahmacārī and explained very elaborately the import of the “harer nāma” śloka mentioned in the Bṛhan-nāradīya Purāṇa.

Após este incidente, o Senhor comeu arroz cru dado por Śuklāmbara Brahmacārī e explicou muito elaboradamente o significado do śloka “harer nāma” mencionado no Bṛhan-nāradīya Purāṇa.

Comentário

Śuklāmbara Brahmacārī resided in Navadvīpa on the bank of the Ganges. When Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu was dancing in ecstasy, he approached the Lord with a begging bag containing rice. The Lord was so pleased with His devotee that He immediately snatched the bag and began to eat the raw rice. No one forbade Him, and thus He finished the entire supply of rice.

SIGNIFICADO—Śuklāmbara Brahmacārī residia em Navadvīpa às margens do Ganges. Enquanto Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu dançava em êxtase, ele se aproximou do Senhor com um saco de esmola contendo arroz. O Senhor ficou tão satisfeito com Seu devoto que imediatamente apanhou o saco e começou a comer o arroz cru. Ninguém O proibiu de fazê-lo, e assim Ele comeu todo o suprimento de arroz.
