The Most Confidential Knowledge
- TEXT 1:
- Верховний Бог-Особа сказав: Мій дорогий Арджуно, ти ніколи не заздриш Мені, і тому Я відкрию тобі найпотаємніше знання, оволодівши яким, ти звільнишся від страждань матеріального існування.
- TEXT 1:
- The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: My dear Arjuna, because you are never envious of Me, I shall impart to you this most confidential knowledge and realization, knowing which you shall be relieved of the miseries of material existence.
- TEXT 2:
- Знання це — цар усього знання, таїна з таїн. Це знання — найчистіше, і воно дозволяє безпосередньо пізнати власну сутність шляхом духовного усвідомлення, а тому є досконалістю релігії. Воно безсмертне, і осягнення його радісне.
- TEXT 2:
- This knowledge is the king of education, the most secret of all secrets. It is the purest knowledge, and because it gives direct perception of the self by realization, it is the perfection of religion. It is everlasting, and it is joyfully performed.
- TEXT 3:
- О звитяжний, ті, хто не має віри у віддане служіння, не можуть досягти Мене. Тому вони повертаються в матеріальний світ, на шлях народжень й смерті.
- TEXT 3:
- Those who are not faithful in this devotional service cannot attain Me, O conqueror of enemies. Therefore they return to the path of birth and death in this material world.
- TEXT 5:
- І все ж таки все створене не покоїться в Мені. Поглянь лише на Мою незбагненну містичну силу! Хоча Я і підтримую всі живі істоти і перебуваю скрізь, Я не є частиною космічного проявлення, тому що Я Сам — джерело творіння.
- TEXT 5:
- And yet everything that is created does not rest in Me. Behold My mystic opulence! Although I am the maintainer of all living entities and although I am everywhere, I am not a part of this cosmic manifestation, for My Self is the very source of creation.
- TEXT 7:
- О сину Кунтı̄, наприкінці віків усі матеріальні проявлення входять в Мою природу, а на початку наступних Своєю могутністю Я творю їх знову.
- TEXT 7:
- O son of Kuntī, at the end of the millennium all material manifestations enter into My nature, and at the beginning of another millennium, by My potency, I create them again.
- TEXT 8:
- Весь космічний порядок підвладний Мені. Згідно Моєї волі і задуму він автоматично проявляється знову й знову, і з Моєї волі він знищується під кінець.
- TEXT 8:
- The whole cosmic order is under Me. Under My will it is automatically manifested again and again, and under My will it is annihilated at the end.
- TEXT 10:
- Матеріальна природа, що є однією з Моїх енерґій, працює під Моїм наглядом, о сину Кунтı̄, виробляючи всі рухомі й нерухомі істоти. Під її керуванням це проявлення твориться і знищується знову й знову.
- TEXT 10:
- This material nature, which is one of My energies, is working under My direction, O son of Kuntī, producing all moving and nonmoving beings. Under its rule this manifestation is created and annihilated again and again.
- TEXT 12:
- Людей, введених таким чином в оману, приваблюють демонічні, безбожні погляди. В стані омани всі їхні надії на визволення, вся їхня кармічна діяльність й плекання знань терплять поразку.
- TEXT 12:
- Those who are thus bewildered are attracted by demonic and atheistic views. In that deluded condition, their hopes for liberation, their fruitive activities, and their culture of knowledge are all defeated.
- TEXT 13:
- Великі душі, о сину Пр̣тги, що непідвладні омані, перебувають під захистом божественної природи. Вони цілком присвячують себе відданому служінню, тому що знають, що Я — Верховний Бог-Особа, одвічний і невичерпний.
- TEXT 13:
- O son of Pṛthā, those who are not deluded, the great souls, are under the protection of the divine nature. They are fully engaged in devotional service because they know Me as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, original and inexhaustible.
- TEXT 14:
- Завжди оспівуючи Мою славу, схиляючись у шані переді Мною, цілеспрямовано скеровуючи свої зусилля, ці великі душі постійно поклоняються Мені з любов’ю та відданістю.
- TEXT 14:
- Always chanting My glories, endeavoring with great determination, bowing down before Me, these great souls perpetually worship Me with devotion.
- TEXT 15:
- Інші ж, чия жертва полягає у розвитку знань, поклоняються Верховному Господеві як єдиному і неповторному, як різноманітності того, що існує, і в Його всесвітній формі.
- TEXT 15:
- Others, who engage in sacrifice by the cultivation of knowledge, worship the Supreme Lord as the one without a second, as diverse in many, and in the universal form.
- TEXT 16:
- Але Я — і обряд, і жертвопринесення, Я — вшановування предків, цілюща трава і трансцендентний спів. Я і масло, і вогонь, і підношення.
- TEXT 16:
- But it is I who am the ritual, I the sacrifice, the offering to the ancestors, the healing herb, the transcendental chant. I am the butter and the fire and the offering.
- TEXT 17:
- Я — батько всесвіту і мати, опора і прадід його. Я — об’єкт пізнання, і той, хто очищує, і Я — склад ом̇. Я також Р̣ґ, Са̄ма і Йаджур Веда.
- TEXT 17:
- I am the father of this universe, the mother, the support and the grandsire. I am the object of knowledge, the purifier and the syllable oṁ. I am also the Ṛg, the Sāma and the Yajur Vedas.
- TEXT 18:
- Я — мета, опора, владика, свідок, обитель, притулок і найближчий друг. Я — творення і знищення, основа всього, місце спокою і вічне сім’я.
- TEXT 18:
- I am the goal, the sustainer, the master, the witness, the abode, the refuge and the most dear friend. I am the creation and the annihilation, the basis of everything, the resting place and the eternal seed.
- TEXT 20:
- Ті, що вивчають Веди і п’ють сік соми, прагнучи райських планет, посередньо поклоняються Мені. Очистившись від гріховних наслідків, вони народжуються на благочестивій райській планеті Індри, де насолоджуються божественними розвагами.
- TEXT 20:
- Those who study the Vedas and drink the soma juice, seeking the heavenly planets, worship Me indirectly. Purified of sinful reactions, they take birth on the pious, heavenly planet of Indra, where they enjoy godly delights.
- TEXT 21:
- Коли вони таким чином вдовольняться небесними почуттєвими втіхами і вичерпають результати своєї побожної діяльності, вони знову повертаються на цю тлінну планету. Отже, ті, що шукають почуттєвої насолоди, суворо дотримуючись засад трьох Вед, досягають лише повторюваних народження й смерті.
- TEXT 21:
- When they have thus enjoyed vast heavenly sense pleasure and the results of their pious activities are exhausted, they return to this mortal planet again. Thus those who seek sense enjoyment by adhering to the principles of the three Vedas achieve only repeated birth and death.
- TEXT 22:
- Але тим, хто постійно поклоняється Мені з винятковою відданістю і заглиблений у медитацію на Мою трансцендентну форму, Я даю те, чого їм не вистачає, і зберігаю те, що вони мають.
- TEXT 22:
- But those who always worship Me with exclusive devotion, meditating on My transcendental form – to them I carry what they lack, and I preserve what they have.
- TEXT 25:
- Ті, що поклоняються напівбогам, народяться серед напівбогів; ті, що поклоняються предкам, відправляються до предків; ті, що поклоняються привидам і духам, народяться серед цих істот; але ті, хто поклоняється Мені — житимуть зі Мною.
- TEXT 25:
- Those who worship the demigods will take birth among the demigods; those who worship the ancestors go to the ancestors; those who worship ghosts and spirits will take birth among such beings; and those who worship Me will live with Me.
- TEXT 27:
- Що б ти не робив, що б ти не їв, що б ти не пропонував чи віддавав, і через яку б тапасйу не проходив — пропонуй все це, о сину Кунтı̄, як підношення Мені.
- TEXT 27:
- Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give away, and whatever austerities you perform – do that, O son of Kuntī, as an offering to Me.
- TEXT 28:
- Таким чином ти вивільнишся із кайданів діяльності та її сприятливих і несприятливих наслідків. Зосередивши на Мені свій розум, основуючись на відреченні, ти визволишся й прийдеш до Мене.
- TEXT 28:
- In this way you will be freed from bondage to work and its auspicious and inauspicious results. With your mind fixed on Me in this principle of renunciation, you will be liberated and come to Me.
- TEXT 29:
- Я нікому не заздрю і ставлюсь до всіх без упередження. Я однаково ставлюсь до всіх. Але той, хто віддано служить Мені, той — Мій друг, він в Мені, і Я йому також друг.
- TEXT 29:
- I envy no one, nor am I partial to anyone. I am equal to all. But whoever renders service unto Me in devotion is a friend, is in Me, and I am also a friend to him.
- TEXT 30:
- Навіть якщо людина скоїть найогидніший вчинок, але якщо вона з рішучістю присвятила себе відданому служінню, — її слід вважати праведною, бо вона обрала правильний шлях.
- TEXT 30:
- Even if one commits the most abominable action, if he is engaged in devotional service he is to be considered saintly because he is properly situated in his determination.
- TEXT 32:
- О сину Пр̣тги, ті, що знайшли пристановище в Мені, нехай вони будуть навіть ницого походження — жінки, ваіш́йі (торговці) і ш́ӯдри (робітники) — всі вони зможуть досягти вищої мети.
- TEXT 32:
- O son of Pṛthā, those who take shelter in Me, though they be of lower birth – women, vaiśyas [merchants] and śūdras [workers] – can attain the supreme destination.
- TEXT 33:
- Що ж вже казати про добродійних бра̄хман̣, відданих і праведних царів! Тому, потрапивши до тимчасового, злиденного світу, з любов’ю та відданістю присвяти себе служінню Мені.
- TEXT 33:
- How much more this is so of the righteous brāhmaṇas, the devotees and the saintly kings. Therefore, having come to this temporary, miserable world, engage in loving service unto Me.
- TEXT 34:
- Завжди думай про Мене, стань Моїм відданим, вшановуй Мене з любов’ю і поклоняйся Мені. Повністю в Мене занурившись, ти неодмінно прийдеш до Мене.
- TEXT 34:
- Engage your mind always in thinking of Me, become My devotee, offer obeisances to Me and worship Me. Being completely absorbed in Me, surely you will come to Me.
