Knowledge of the Absolute

VERŠ 1:
Vznešený riekol: „Počuj, ó, syn Pṛthy, ako Ma môžeš plne spoznať, ak budeš vykonávať yogu plne si Ma vedomý, s mysľou na Mňa uprenou a zbavený akýchkoľvek pochybností.
TEXT 1:
The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Now hear, O son of Pṛthā, how by practicing yoga in full consciousness of Me, with mind attached to Me, you can know Me in full, free from doubt.
VERŠ 2:
Teraz ti bezo zvyšku vyjavím hmotné i duchovné poznanie, a keď si ho osvojíš, nebude už nič, čo by si mal poznať.
TEXT 2:
I shall now declare unto you in full this knowledge, both phenomenal and numinous. This being known, nothing further shall remain for you to know.
VERŠ 3:
Z mnohých tisícov ľudí snáď len jeden usiluje o dokonalosť a z tých, ktorí ju dosiahli, Ma možno jediný pozná pravdivo.
TEXT 3:
Out of many thousands among men, one may endeavor for perfection, and of those who have achieved perfection, hardly one knows Me in truth.
VERŠ 4:
Zem, voda, oheň, vzduch, éter, myseľ, inteligencia a falošné ego — týchto osem prvkov tvorí Moje oddelené hmotné energie.
TEXT 4:
Earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, intelligence and false ego – all together these eight constitute My separated material energies.
VERŠ 5:
Ale vedz, ó, bojovník mocných paží, že okrem tejto nižšej energie mám ešte inú, vyššiu energiu, zahŕňajúcu živé bytosti, ktoré vykorisťujú zdroje hmotnej prírody.
TEXT 5:
Besides these, O mighty-armed Arjuna, there is another, superior energy of Mine, which comprises the living entities who are exploiting the resources of this material, inferior nature.
VERŠ 6:
Vedz, že všetko stvorené má svoj pôvod v týchto dvoch podstatách. Ja som pôvodom i zánikom všetkého hmotného i duchovného v tomto svete.
TEXT 6:
All created beings have their source in these two natures. Of all that is material and all that is spiritual in this world, know for certain that I am both the origin and the dissolution.
VERŠ 7:
Ó, Dhanañjaya, niet nič vyššieho nado Mnou. Všetko na Mne spočíva ako perly navlečené na šnúre.
TEXT 7:
O conqueror of wealth, there is no truth superior to Me. Everything rests upon Me, as pearls are strung on a thread.
VERŠ 8:
Som chuťou vody, ó, syn Kuntī, som svetlom Slnka a Mesiaca, slabikou oṁ vo vedskych mantrách, som zvukom v éteri a schopnosťou v ľuďoch.
TEXT 8:
O son of Kuntī, I am the taste of water, the light of the sun and the moon, the syllable oṁ in the Vedic mantras; I am the sound in ether and ability in man.
VERŠ 9:
Som pôvodnou vôňou zeme, som žiarou ohňa, som životom všetkých živých tvorov a odriekaním všetkých askétov.
TEXT 9:
I am the original fragrance of the earth, and I am the heat in fire. I am the life of all that lives, and I am the penances of all ascetics.
VERŠ 10:
Ó, syn Pṛthy, vedz, že som pôvodným semienkom všetkého bytia, inteligenciou inteligentných a statočnosťou statočných.
TEXT 10:
O son of Pṛthā, know that I am the original seed of all existences, the intelligence of the intelligent, and the prowess of all powerful men.
VERŠ 11:
Som sila silných zbavená túžob a vášne. Som pohlavný život, ktorý nie je v rozpore s náboženskými zásadami, ó, najlepší z Bharatovcov.
TEXT 11:
I am the strength of the strong, devoid of passion and desire. I am sex life which is not contrary to religious principles, O lord of the Bhāratas [Arjuna].
VERŠ 12:
Vedz tiež, že všetky stavy bytia či už v kvalite dobra, vášne alebo nevedomosti, sú prejavom Mojej energie. Som všetkým, no nezávisím na ničom. Nie som podriadený kvalitám hmotnej prírody, lebo oni sú vo Mne.
TEXT 12:
Know that all states of being – be they of goodness, passion or ignorance – are manifested by My energy. I am, in one sense, everything, but I am independent. I am not under the modes of material nature, for they, on the contrary, are within Me.
VERŠ 13:
Celý svet je očarovaný tromi kvalitami hmotnej prírody (dobrom, vášňou a nevedomosťou) a nepozná Mňa, ktorý stojím nepominuteľný nad nimi.
TEXT 13:
Deluded by the three modes [goodness, passion and ignorance], the whole world does not know Me, who am above the modes and inexhaustible.
VERŠ 14:
Táto Moja božská energia, pozostávajúca z troch kvalít hmotnej prírody, sa dá ťažko prekonať. No tí, ktorí sa Mi odovzdajú, ju ľahko prekročia.
TEXT 14:
This divine energy of Mine, consisting of the three modes of material nature, is difficult to overcome. But those who have surrendered unto Me can easily cross beyond it.
VERŠ 15:
Neveriaci ľudia, ktorí sú veľmi hlúpi, najnižší z ľudí, ktorých poznanie uniesla vidina, a tí, ktorí majú ateistickú povahu démonov, sa Mi nikdy neodovzdávajú.
TEXT 15:
Those miscreants who are grossly foolish, who are lowest among mankind, whose knowledge is stolen by illusion, and who partake of the atheistic nature of demons do not surrender unto Me.
VERŠ 16:
Ó, Arjuna, najlepší z Bharatovcov, štyri druhy zbožných ľudí Mi začnú oddane slúžiť: trpiaci, túžiaci po bohatstve, zvedaví a hľadajúci Absolútnu Pravdu.
TEXT 16:
O best among the Bhāratas, four kinds of pious men begin to render devotional service unto Me – the distressed, the desirer of wealth, the inquisitive, and he who is searching for knowledge of the Absolute.
VERŠ 17:
Najlepší z nich je ten, kto Mi vždy oddane a láskyplne slúži obdarený dokonalým poznaním, lebo takému človeku som zo všetkého najdrahší a on je drahý Mne.
TEXT 17:
Of these, the one who is in full knowledge and who is always engaged in pure devotional service is the best. For I am very dear to him, and he is dear to Me.
VERŠ 18:
Všetci títo oddaní sú nepochybne ušľachtilé duše, ale toho, kto dosiahol poznanie o Mne, považujem za Seba samotného, lebo tým, že Mi oddane slúži, sa dostane k najvyššiemu a najdokonalejšiemu cieľu, ku Mne.
TEXT 18:
All these devotees are undoubtedly magnanimous souls, but he who is situated in knowledge of Me I consider to be just like My own self. Being engaged in My transcendental service, he is sure to attain Me, the highest and most perfect goal.
VERŠ 19:
Po mnohých narodeniach a smrtiach sa človek, ktorý je v pravde obdarený poznaním, odovzdá Mne, vediac, že Ja som príčinou všetkých príčin a všetkého, čo jestvuje. Taká duša je veľmi vzácna.
TEXT 19:
After many births and deaths, he who is actually in knowledge surrenders unto Me, knowing Me to be the cause of all causes and all that is. Such a great soul is very rare.
VERŠ 20:
Tí, ktorých poznanie uniesli hmotné žiadosti, sa uchyľujú k polobohom a uctievajú ich podľa pravidiel a predpisov, zodpovedajúcich ich povahám.
TEXT 20:
Those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires surrender unto demigods and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship according to their own natures.
VERŠ 21:
Ak niekto túži uctievať niektorého poloboha, Ja ho v tejto viere — ako Nadduša sídliaca v srdciach všetkých — utvrdím, aby sa mohol oddať určitému božstvu.
TEXT 21:
I am in everyone’s heart as the Supersoul. As soon as one desires to worship some demigod, I make his faith steady so that he can devote himself to that particular deity.
VERŠ 22:
Vybavený touto vierou uctieva určitého poloboha a on mu potom splní jeho túžby. V skutočnosti som to však Ja, kto ich poskytuje.
TEXT 22:
Endowed with such a faith, he endeavors to worship a particular demigod and obtains his desires. But in actuality these benefits are bestowed by Me alone.
VERŠ 23:
Ľudia chabého rozumu uctievajú polobohov, no plody, ktoré získajú, sú obmedzené a pominuteľné. Tí, čo uctievajú polobohov, idú na planéty polobohov, zatiaľ čo Moji oddaní dosiahnu Moju zvrchovanú planétu.
TEXT 23:
Men of small intelligence worship the demigods, and their fruits are limited and temporary. Those who worship the demigods go to the planets of the demigods, but My devotees ultimately reach My supreme planet.
VERŠ 24:
Hlúpi ľudia, ktorí Ma dokonale nepoznajú, si myslia, že som bol najskôr neosobný a až teraz som prijal túto viditeľnú podobu. Následkom ich malého poznania, nechápu Moju vyššiu prirodzenosť, ktorá je nepominuteľná a najvyššia.
TEXT 24:
Unintelligent men, who do not know Me perfectly, think that I, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa, was impersonal before and have now assumed this personality. Due to their small knowledge, they do not know My higher nature, which is imperishable and supreme.
VERŠ 25:
Nikdy sa nezjavujem pochabým a hlúpym ľuďom. Pre nich som zahalený svojou vnútornou silou, a preto nechápu, že som nezrodený a večný.
TEXT 25:
I am never manifest to the foolish and unintelligent. For them I am covered by My internal potency, and therefore they do not know that I am unborn and infallible.
VERŠ 26:
Ó, Arjuna, ako Najvyššia Božská Osobnosť viem o všetkom, čo sa stalo v minulosti, čo sa deje v prítomnosti, i o tom, čo sa ešte len stane. Poznám tiež všetky živé bytosti; Mňa však nepozná nikto.
TEXT 26:
O Arjuna, as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, I know everything that has happened in the past, all that is happening in the present, and all things that are yet to come. I also know all living entities; but Me no one knows.
VERŠ 27:
Ó, Bharatovec, hubiteľ nepriateľov, všetky živé bytosti sa rodia do sveta klamu a sú zmätené dualitou, ktorá vzniká z túžby a nenávisti.
TEXT 27:
O scion of Bharata, O conqueror of the foe, all living entities are born into delusion, bewildered by dualities arisen from desire and hate.
VERŠ 28:
No ľudia, ktorí v tomto i skorších životoch konali cnostne a ktorých hriešne činy sú celkom vyhladené, sa zbavili bludu duality a s pevným odhodlaním Mi slúžia.
TEXT 28:
Persons who have acted piously in previous lives and in this life and whose sinful actions are completely eradicated are freed from the dualities of delusion, and they engage themselves in My service with determination.
VERŠ 29:
Inteligentní ľudia, ktorí sa snažia vyslobodiť zo staroby a smrti, sa prostredníctvom oddanej služby uchyľujú ku Mne. Sú vskutku Brahmanom, lebo vedia všetko o transcendentálnych činoch.
TEXT 29:
Intelligent persons who are endeavoring for liberation from old age and death take refuge in Me in devotional service. They are actually Brahman because they entirely know everything about transcendental activities.
VERŠ 30:
Tí, ktorí Ma plne poznajú ako Najvyššieho Pána vládnuceho hmotnému stvoreniu, všetkým polobohom a obetiam, Ma môžu poznať a rozumieť, kto som, aj v okamihu smrti.“
TEXT 30:
Those in full consciousness of Me, who know Me, the Supreme Lord, to be the governing principle of the material manifestation, of the demigods, and of all methods of sacrifice, can understand and know Me, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, even at the time of death.
