The Opulence of the Absolute

VERŠ 1:
Kṛṣṇa, Najvyššia Božská Osobnosť riekol: „Ó, Arjuna, bojovník mocných paží, počúvaj ďalej Moje slová. Si Môj drahý priateľ, a preto ti k tvojmu prospechu zverím ešte úplnejšie poznanie, než to, ktoré som ti doposiaľ vysvetlil.
TEXT 1:
The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Listen again, O mighty-armed Arjuna. Because you are My dear friend, for your benefit I shall speak to you further, giving knowledge that is better than what I have already explained.
VERŠ 2:
Ani davy polobohov, ani veľkí mudrci nepoznajú Môj pôvod alebo Moje vlastnosti. Ja som v každom ohľade zdrojom polobohov a veľkých mudrcov.
TEXT 2:
Neither the hosts of demigods nor the great sages know My origin or opulences, for, in every respect, I am the source of the demigods and sages.
VERŠ 3:
Iba ten, kto Ma pozná ako nezrodeného, bez počiatku a ako zvrchovaného Pána všetkých svetov, nepodlieha ilúzii a je zbavený všetkých následkov hriechu.
TEXT 3:
He who knows Me as the unborn, as the beginningless, as the Supreme Lord of all the worlds – he only, undeluded among men, is freed from all sins.
VERŠ 4 – 5:
Inteligencia, poznanie, odpútanosť od pochybnosti a ilúzie, schopnosť odpúšťať, pravdivosť, ovládanie zmyslov, ovládanie mysle, šťastie, zármutok, zrodenie, smrť, strach, nebojácnosť, nenásilie, vyrovnanosť, uspokojenie, pokánie, štedrosť, pocta i potupa — všetky tieto rôzne vlastnosti živých bytostí som stvoril Ja.
TEXTS 4-5:
Intelligence, knowledge, freedom from doubt and delusion, forgiveness, truthfulness, control of the senses, control of the mind, happiness and distress, birth, death, fear, fearlessness, nonviolence, equanimity, satisfaction, austerity, charity, fame and infamy – all these various qualities of living beings are created by Me alone.
VERŠ 6:
Okrem štyroch svätcov zo Mňa povstali, zrodení z Mojej mysle, siedmi veľkí mudrci a Manuovia (praotcovia ľudstva) a z nich pochádzajú všetky živé bytosti obývajúce rôzne planéty.
TEXT 6:
The seven great sages and before them the four other great sages and the Manus [progenitors of mankind] come from Me, born from My mind, and all the living beings populating the various planets descend from them.
VERŠ 7:
Kto vskutku pozná Môj majestát a mystickú moc, zapojí sa do čistej oddanej služby. O tom niet pochýb.
TEXT 7:
One who is factually convinced of this opulence and mystic power of Mine engages in unalloyed devotional service; of this there is no doubt.
VERŠ 8:
Som zdrojom všetkých duchovných i hmotných svetov. Všetko pochádza zo Mňa. Múdri, ktorí to dokonale vedia, Mi oddane slúžia a uctievajú Ma z celého srdca.
TEXT 8:
I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts.
VERŠ 9:
Myšlienky Mojich čistých oddaných sú pohrúžené iba do Mňa, plne Mi odovzdávajú svoje životy, aby Mi slúžili. Radosť a spokojnosť nachádzajú v tom, že si Ma navzájom pripomínajú a neustále o Mne hovoria.
TEXT 9:
The thoughts of My pure devotees dwell in Me, their lives are fully devoted to My service, and they derive great satisfaction and bliss from always enlightening one another and conversing about Me.
VERŠ 10:
Tým, ktorý sú Mi neustále oddaní a s láskou Ma uctievajú, dávam poznanie, s pomocou ktorého ku Mne dospejú.
TEXT 10:
To those who are constantly devoted to serving Me with love, I give the understanding by which they can come to Me.
VERŠ 11:
Prebývam v ich srdciach a zo súcitu k nim rozptyľujem temnotu zrodenú z nevedomosti žiarivou pochodňou poznania.“
TEXT 11:
To show them special mercy, I, dwelling in their hearts, destroy with the shining lamp of knowledge the darkness born of ignorance.
VERŠ 12 – 13:
Arjuna riekol: „Si Najvyššia Božská Osobnosť, si konečné útočisko, si neobmedzený a najčistejší, si Absolútna Pravda. Si prvotná, večná, transcendentálna, nezrodená, zvrchovaná a pôvodná osoba. Všetci veľkí svätci — Nārada, Asita, Devala a Vyāsa to o Tebe hlásajú a teraz mi to hovoríš Ty sám.
TEXTS 12-13:
Arjuna said: You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the ultimate abode, the purest, the Absolute Truth. You are the eternal, transcendental, original person, the unborn, the greatest. All the great sages such as Nārada, Asita, Devala and Vyāsa confirm this truth about You, and now You Yourself are declaring it to me.
VERŠ 14:
Ó, Kṛṣṇa, všetko, čo mi hovoríš, prijímam bezozvyšku ako pravdu. Ani polobohovia, ani démoni, ó Pane, nepoznajú Tvoju Osobnosť.
TEXT 14:
O Kṛṣṇa, I totally accept as truth all that You have told me. Neither the demigods nor the demons, O Lord, can understand Your personality.
VERŠ 15:
Len Ty poznáš sám Seba Svojou vnútornou silou, ó, Najvyššia Osoba, zdroj všetkého, Pane všetkých tvorov, Bože bohov, vládca vesmíru.
TEXT 15:
Indeed, You alone know Yourself by Your own internal potency, O Supreme Person, origin of all, Lord of all beings, God of gods, Lord of the universe!
VERŠ 16:
Rozprávaj mi, prosím, podrobne o Svojich božských silách, ktorými prestupuješ všetky svety.
TEXT 16:
Please tell me in detail of Your divine opulences by which You pervade all these worlds.
VERŠ 17:
Ó, Kṛṣṇa, ó, najvyšší mystik, ako mám na Teba neustále myslieť a ako Ťa môžem poznať? Na ktorú z Tvojich rozmanitých podôb sa mám sústrediť, ó, Najvyššia Božská Osobnosť?
TEXT 17:
O Kṛṣṇa, O supreme mystic, how shall I constantly think of You, and how shall I know You? In what various forms are You to be remembered, O Supreme Personality of Godhead?
VERŠ 18:
Ó Janārdana, prosím, porozprávaj mi ešte raz podrobne o mystickej sile Tvojich vznešených vlastností. Nikdy nie som nasýtený počúvaním Tvojich lahodných slov.“
TEXT 18:
O Janārdana, again please describe in detail the mystic power of Your opulences. I am never satiated in hearing about You, for the more I hear the more I want to taste the nectar of Your words.
VERŠ 19:
Kṛṣṇa, Najvyššia Božská Osobnosť, riekol: „Áno, poviem ti o Svojich úžasných prejavoch, ale len o tých, ktoré sú významné, ó, Arjuna. Moja vznešenosť nemá konca.
TEXT 19:
The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Yes, I will tell you of My splendorous manifestations, but only of those which are prominent, O Arjuna, for My opulence is limitless.
VERŠ 20:
Ó, Arjuna, som Naddušou sídliacou v srdci všetkých živých bytostí. Som počiatkom, stredom i koncom všetkých tvorov.
TEXT 20:
I am the Supersoul, O Arjuna, seated in the hearts of all living entities. I am the beginning, the middle and the end of all beings.
VERŠ 21:
Medzi Ādityami som Viṣṇu, zo svetelných zdrojov som žiarivým Slnkom, medzi Marutami som Marīci a Mesiac medzi hviezdami.
TEXT 21:
Of the Ādityas I am Viṣṇu, of lights I am the radiant sun, of the Maruts I am Marīci, and among the stars I am the moon.
VERŠ 22:
Medzi Vedami som Sāma Veda, medzi polobohmi som Indra, kráľ nebies, medzi zmyslami som myseľ a v živých bytostiach som silou života (vedomím).
TEXT 22:
Of the Vedas I am the Sāma Veda; of the demigods I am Indra, the king of heaven; of the senses I am the mind; and in living beings I am the living force [consciousness].
VERŠ 23:
Medzi Rudrami som Śiva, medzi Yakṣasmi a Rākṣasmi som pánom bohatstva (Kuvera), medzi Vasuami som oheň (Agni) a z hôr som hora Meru.
TEXT 23:
Of all the Rudras I am Lord Śiva, of the Yakṣas and Rākṣasas I am the Lord of wealth [Kuvera], of the Vasus I am fire [Agni], and of mountains I am Meru.
VERŠ 24:
Vedz, ó, Arjuna, že spomedzi kňazov som veľkňaz Bṛhaspati, medzi vojvodcami som Kārtikeya a z vodných nádrží som oceán.
TEXT 24:
Of priests, O Arjuna, know Me to be the chief, Bṛhaspati. Of generals I am Kārttikeya, and of bodies of water I am the ocean.
VERŠ 25:
Medzi veľkými mudrcami som Bhṛgu, medzi vibráciami som transcendentálne oṁ. Z obetí som spievanie svätých mien (japa) a z nehybných vecí som Himālaye.
TEXT 25:
Of the great sages I am Bhṛgu; of vibrations I am the transcendental oṁ. Of sacrifices I am the chanting of the holy names [japa], and of immovable things I am the Himālayas.
VERŠ 26:
Spomedzi všetkých stromov som posvätným banyanovníkom, spomedzi všetkých svätcov medzi polobohmi som Nārada. Z nebeských pevcov, Gandharvov, som Citraratha a medzi dokonalými som svätec Kapila.
TEXT 26:
Of all trees I am the banyan tree, and of the sages among the demigods I am Nārada. Of the Gandharvas I am Citraratha, and among perfected beings I am the sage Kapila.
VERŠ 27:
Vedz, že spomedzi koní som Uccaiḥśravā, ktorý povstal pri stĺkaní oceánu. Z ušľachtilých slonov som Airāvata a z ľudí som kráľ.
TEXT 27:
Of horses know Me to be Uccaiḥśravā, produced during the churning of the ocean for nectar. Of lordly elephants I am Airāvata, and among men I am the monarch.
VERŠ 28:
Spomedzi zbraní som blesk, medzi kravami som surabhi oplývajúca hojnosťou mlieka, z ploditeľov som Kandarpa, boh lásky, a z hadov som Vāsuki, hadí kráľ.
TEXT 28:
Of weapons I am the thunderbolt; among cows I am the surabhi. Of causes for procreation I am Kandarpa, the god of love, and of serpents I am Vāsuki.
VERŠ 29:
Medzi mnohohlavými Nāgmi som Ananta, z bytostí žijúcich vo vode som poloboh Varuṇa, zo zosnulých predkov som Aryamā a z prísnych sudcov som Yama, pán smrti.
TEXT 29:
Of the many-hooded Nāgas I am Ananta, and among the aquatics I am the demigod Varuṇa. Of departed ancestors I am Aryamā, and among the dispensers of law I am Yama, the lord of death.
VERŠ 30:
Medzi démonskými Daityami som čistý oddaný Prahlāda, medzi podmaniteľmi som čas, medzi zvieratami lev a medzi vtákmi som Garuḍa.
TEXT 30:
Among the Daitya demons I am the devoted Prahlāda, among subduers I am time, among beasts I am the lion, and among birds I am Garuḍa.
VERŠ 31:
Zo všetkého, čo očisťuje, som vietor, z bojovníkov som Rāma, z rýb som žralok a z tečúcich riek som Ganga.
TEXT 31:
Of purifiers I am the wind, of the wielders of weapons I am Rāma, of fishes I am the shark, and of flowing rivers I am the Ganges.
VERŠ 32:
Ó, Arjuna, som počiatok, stred i koniec všetkých stvorení. Medzi všetkými vedami som duchovnou vedou o vlastnom ja a pre logikov som konečná pravda.
TEXT 32:
Of all creations I am the beginning and the end and also the middle, O Arjuna. Of all sciences I am the spiritual science of the self, and among logicians I am the conclusive truth.
VERŠ 33:
Z písmen som písmeno A, zo zložených slov som párové kompozitum. Som nevyčerpateľný čas a z tvoriteľov som Brahmā.
TEXT 33:
Of letters I am the letter A, and among compound words I am the dual compound. I am also inexhaustible time, and of creators I am Brahmā.
VERŠ 34:
Som všepohlcujúca smrť, som prvotný princíp všetkého, čo sa kedy stane. Medzi ženami som sláva, šťastena, spanilá reč, pamäť, inteligencia, vytrvalosť a trpezlivosť.
TEXT 34:
I am all-devouring death, and I am the generating principle of all that is yet to be. Among women I am fame, fortune, fine speech, memory, intelligence, steadfastness and patience.
VERŠ 35:
Medzi hymnami Sāma Vedy som Bṛhat-sāma, z poézie som Gāyatrī. Z mesiacov som Mārgaśīrṣa (november-december) a z ročných období kvitnúca jar.
TEXT 35:
Of the hymns in the Sāma Veda I am the Bṛhat-sāma, and of poetry I am the Gāyatrī. Of months I am Mārgaśīrṣa [November-December], and of seasons I am flower-bearing spring.
VERŠ 36:
Som tiež hra o šťastie medzi podvodmi a nádhera v nádhere. Som víťazstvo, úsilie a sila silných.
TEXT 36:
I am also the gambling of cheats, and of the splendid I am the splendor. I am victory, I am adventure, and I am the strength of the strong.
VERŠ 37:
Z Vṛṣṇiovcov som Vāsudeva a z Pāṇḍuovcov Arjuna. Medzi svätcami som Vyāsa a z veľkých mysliteľov som Uśanā.
TEXT 37:
Of the descendants of Vṛṣṇi I am Vāsudeva, and of the Pāṇḍavas I am Arjuna. Of the sages I am Vyāsa, and among great thinkers I am Uśanā.
VERŠ 38:
Zo všetkých spôsobov potlačovania nezákonnosti som trest, pre tých, ktorí túžia zvíťaziť, som morálnym chovaním, z tajomstiev som mlčaním a pre múdrych som múdrosťou.
TEXT 38:
Among all means of suppressing lawlessness I am punishment, and of those who seek victory I am morality. Of secret things I am silence, and of the wise I am the wisdom.
VERŠ 39:
Ďalej som, ó, Arjuna, semenom všetkého jestvujúceho. Niet bytosti, či už pohyblivej alebo nehybnej, ktorá by mohla jestvovať bezo Mňa.
TEXT 39:
Furthermore, O Arjuna, I am the generating seed of all existences. There is no being – moving or nonmoving – that can exist without Me.
VERŠ 40:
Ó, mocný hubiteľ nepriateľov, Moje božské prejavenia nemajú konca. To, čo som ti vyjavil, je iba malý náznak Môjho nekonečného majestátu.
TEXT 40:
O mighty conqueror of enemies, there is no end to My divine manifestations. What I have spoken to you is but a mere indication of My infinite opulences.
VERŠ 41:
Vedz, že všetky bohaté, krásne a slávne výtvory povstali iba z malého zlomku Mojej nádhery.
TEXT 41:
Know that all opulent, beautiful and glorious creations spring from but a spark of My splendor.
VERŠ 42:
Načo ti je však celé toto podrobné poznanie, ó Arjuna? Jedinou Svojou čiastočkou prestupujem celý vesmír a udržiavam ho.“
TEXT 42:
But what need is there, Arjuna, for all this detailed knowledge? With a single fragment of Myself I pervade and support this entire universe.
