The Process of Creation

ТЕКСТ 1:: Сута Госвами сказал: Выслушав речи Шукадевы Госвами, говорившего исключительно о природе души, сын Уттары, Махараджа Парикшит, целомудренно сосредоточил все свои мысли на Господе Кришне.

Text 1:: Sūta Gosvāmī said: Mahārāja Parīkṣit, the son of Uttarā, after hearing the speeches of Śukadeva Gosvāmī, which were all about the truth of the self, applied his concentration faithfully upon Lord Kṛṣṇa.

ТЕКСТ 2:: Устремившись всем сердцем к Господу Кришне, Махараджа Парикшит сумел искоренить в себе глубокую привязанность к телу, жене, детям, дворцу, животным (лошадям и слонам), казне, друзьям, родственникам и своему процветающему царству.

Text 2:: Mahārāja Parīkṣit, as a result of his wholehearted attraction for Lord Kṛṣṇa, was able to give up all deep-rooted affection for his personal body, his wife, his children, his palace, his animals like horses and elephants, his treasury house, his friends and relatives, and his undisputed kingdom.

ТЕКСТЫ 3-4:: О великие мудрецы, великая душа Махараджа Парикшит, постоянно поглощенный размышлениями о Господе Кришне и осознавший неотвратимость смерти, отрекся от всякого рода кармической деятельности — деятельности во имя религии, экономического благополучия и удовлетворения чувств. Таким образом он утвердился в своей естественной любви к Кришне и задал Шукадеве Госвами те же вопросы, какие вы задаете мне.

Texts 3-4:: O great sages, the great soul Mahārāja Parīkṣit, constantly rapt in thought of Lord Kṛṣṇa, knowing well of his imminent death, renounced all sorts of fruitive activities, namely acts of religion, economic development and sense gratification, and thus fixed himself firmly in his natural love for Kṛṣṇa and asked all these questions, exactly as you are asking me.

ТЕКСТ 5:: Махараджа Парикшит сказал: О ученый брахман, тебе известно все, ибо ты свободен от материальной скверны, а потому все, что ты рассказал мне, абсолютно правильно. Твои речи постепенно рассеивают тьму моего невежества, поскольку ты рассказываешь мне о Господе.

Text 5:: Mahārāja Parīkṣit said: O learned brāhmaṇa, you know everything because you are without material contamination. Therefore whatever you have spoken to me appears perfectly right. Your speeches are gradually destroying the darkness of my ignorance, for you are narrating the topics of the Lord.

ТЕКСТ 6:: Прошу, поведай мне, как с помощью Своих непостижимых энергий Личность Бога создает материальные вселенные такими, как они есть, — непостижимыми даже для великих полубогов.

Text 6:: I beg to know from you how the Personality of Godhead, by His personal energies, creates these phenomenal universes as they are, which are inconceivable even to the great demigods.

ТЕКСТ 7:: Будь добр, объясни, каким образом всесильный Верховный Господь, играя, использует Свои различные энергии и экспансии для поддержания и последующего сворачивания проявленного мира.

Text 7:: Kindly describe how the Supreme Lord, who is all-powerful, engages His different energies and different expansions in maintaining and again winding up the phenomenal world in the sporting spirit of a player.

ТЕКСТ 8:: О ученый брахман, поистине, трансцендентные деяния Господа удивительны и кажутся непостижимыми, ибо даже многие великие мудрецы, несмотря на все свои старания, так и не смогли понять их.

Text 8:: O learned brāhmaṇa, the transcendental activities of the Lord are all wonderful, and they appear inconceivable because even great endeavors by many learned scholars have still proved insufficient for understanding them.

ТЕКСТ 9:: Верховный Господь всегда един — и когда Он Сам управляет гунами материальной природы, и когда распространяет Себя во множество форм, и когда последовательно распространяет Себя, чтобы манипулировать гунами природы.

Text 9:: The Supreme Personality of Godhead is one, whether He alone acts with the modes of material nature, or simultaneously expands in many forms, or expands consecutively to direct the modes of nature.

ТЕКСТ 10:: Будь милостив, рассей эти мои сомнения, ведь ты не только сведущ в ведических писаниях и постиг природу трансцендентного, но еще и великий преданный Господа, а потому так же могуществен, как Сама Личность Бога.

Text 10:: Kindly clear up all these doubtful inquiries, because you are not only vastly learned in the Vedic literatures and self-realized in transcendence, but are also a great devotee of the Lord and are therefore as good as the Personality of Godhead.

ТЕКСТ 11:: Сута Госвами сказал: В ответ на просьбу царя рассказать о созидательной энергии Личности Бога, Шукадева Госвами по порядку вспомнил обо всем, что связано с владыкой чувств [Шри Кришной], и, чтобы ответить должным образом, произнес следующее.

Text 11:: Sūta Gosvāmī said: When Śukadeva Gosvāmī was thus requested by the King to describe the creative energy of the Personality of Godhead, he then systematically remembered the master of the senses [Śrī Kṛṣṇa], and to reply properly he spoke thus.

ТЕКСТ 12:: Шукадева Госвами сказал: Я в почтении склоняюсь перед Господом, Верховной Личностью Бога, который для сотворения материального мира принимает три гуны природы. Он — полное целое, пребывающее в теле каждого, и пути Его неисповедимы.

Text 12:: Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: Let me offer my respectful obeisances unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who, for the creation of the material world, accepts the three modes of nature. He is the complete whole residing within the body of everyone, and His ways are inconceivable.

ТЕКСТ 13:: Снова и снова я в почтении склоняюсь перед Ним — совершенной формой бытия и духовной реальности, Господом, избавляющим праведников и преданных от страданий и обуздывающим демонический нрав непреданных-атеистов. Это Он вознаграждает трансценденталистов, находящихся на высшей ступени духовного развития, достижением цели, к которой они стремятся.

Text 13:: I again offer my respectful obeisances unto the form of complete existence and transcendence, who is the liberator of the pious devotees from all distresses and the destroyer of the further advances in atheistic temperament of the nondevotee-demons. For the transcendentalists who are situated in the topmost spiritual perfection, He grants their specific destinations.

ТЕКСТ 14:: Я в почтении склоняюсь перед Господом — главой рода Яду, который недосягаем для непреданных. Господь — верховный наслаждающийся духовного и материального миров, однако Сам Он наслаждается в Своей обители в духовном мире. Ему нет равных, ибо Его трансцендентные богатства несметны.

Text 14:: Let me offer my respectful obeisances unto Him who is the associate of the members of the Yadu dynasty and who is always a problem for the nondevotees. He is the supreme enjoyer of both the material and spiritual worlds, yet He enjoys His own abode in the spiritual sky. There is no one equal to Him because His transcendental opulence is immeasurable.

ТЕКСТ 15:: Я в глубоком почтении склоняюсь перед всеблагим Господом Шри Кришной, поскольку, прославляя, помня и созерцая Его, слушая повествования о Нем, вознося молитвы и поклоняясь Ему, человек очищается от всех последствий своих греховных поступков.

Text 15:: Let me offer my respectful obeisances unto the all-auspicious Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa, about whom glorification, remembrances, audience, prayers, hearing and worship can at once cleanse the effects of all sins of the performer.

ТЕКСТ 16:: Я снова и снова в глубоком почтении склоняюсь перед всеблагим Господом Шри Кришной. Предавшись Его лотосным стопам, мудрые избавляются от привязанностей к настоящей и будущей жизни и без труда обретают духовное бытие.

Text 16:: Let me offer my respectful obeisances again and again unto the all-auspicious Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa. The highly intellectual, simply by surrendering unto His lotus feet, are relieved of all attachments to present and future existences and without difficulty progress toward spiritual existence.

ТЕКСТ 17:: Снова и снова я в глубоком почтении склоняюсь перед всеблагим Господом Шри Кришной, ибо даже великие мудрецы, люди, славящиеся своей щедростью, знаменитости, великие философы и мистики, великие исполнители ведических гимнов и ревностные поборники ведических принципов не могут добиться успеха в своей деятельности, не используя свои выдающиеся качества в служении Господу.

Text 17:: Let me offer my respectful obeisances unto the all-auspicious Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa again and again because the great learned sages, the great performers of charity, the great workers of distinction, the great philosophers and mystics, the great chanters of the Vedic hymns and the great followers of Vedic principles cannot achieve any fruitful result without dedication of such great qualities to the service of the Lord.

ТЕКСТ 18:: Кираты, хуны, андхры, пулинды, пулкаши, абхиры, шумбхи, яваны, представители племен кхасов и даже те, кто погряз во всех грехах, благодаря безграничному могуществу Господа могут очиститься, приняв покровительство Его преданных. Я склоняюсь перед Ним в глубоком почтении.

Text 18:: Kirāta, Hūṇa, Āndhra, Pulinda, Pulkaśa, Ābhīra, Śumbha, Yavana, members of the Khasa races and even others addicted to sinful acts can be purified by taking shelter of the devotees of the Lord, due to His being the supreme power. I beg to offer my respectful obeisances unto Him.

ТЕКСТ 19:: Он — Сверхдуша и Верховный Господь всех осознавших себя душ. Он — олицетворение Вед, религиозных писаний и аскез. Ему поклоняются Господь Брахма, Шива, а также все, кто свободен от притворства и не имеет никаких притязаний. Пусть же этот Верховный Абсолют, почитаемый с таким трепетом и благоговением, будет доволен мною.

Text 19:: He is the Supersoul and the Supreme Lord of all self-realized souls. He is the personification of the Vedas, religious scriptures and austerities. He is worshiped by Lord Brahmā and Śiva and all those who are transcendental to all pretensions. Being so revered with awe and veneration, may that Supreme Absolute be pleased with me.

ТЕКСТ 20:: Пусть же будет милостив ко мне Господь Шри Кришна, почитаемый всеми преданными, защитник и слава всех царей династии Яду (Андхаки и Вришни), супруг всех богинь процветания, владыка всех жертвоприношений и повелитель всех живых существ, владыка разума, властелин всех духовных и материальных планет, высшее воплощение на Земле (олицетворение высшей власти и высшего совершенства).

Text 20:: May Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa, who is the worshipable Lord of all devotees, the protector and glory of all the kings like Andhaka and Vṛṣṇi of the Yadu dynasty, the husband of all goddesses of fortune, the director of all sacrifices and therefore the leader of all living entities, the controller of all intelligence, the proprietor of all planets, spiritual and material, and the supreme incarnation on the earth (the supreme all in all), be merciful upon me.

ТЕКСТ 21:: Только Он, Личность Бога, Шри Кришна, может даровать живому существу освобождение. Беспрестанно думая о Его лотосных стопах, преданный, следующий по стопам великих авторитетов, входит в транс и непосредственно созерцает Абсолютную Истину, тогда как спекулятивные философы представляют себе Господа таким, каким им хочется Его видеть. Пусть же этот Господь останется доволен мною.

Text 21:: It is the Personality of Godhead Śrī Kṛṣṇa who gives liberation. By thinking of His lotus feet at every second, following in the footsteps of authorities, the devotee in trance can see the Absolute Truth. The learned mental speculators, however, think of Him according to their whims. May the Lord be pleased with me.

ТЕКСТ 22:: Пусть же Господь, который, находясь в сердце Брахмы, на заре творения умножил его активные знания и наделил его полным знанием о творении и Самом Себе, пусть этот Господь, который, казалось, появился на свет из уст Брахмы, будет доволен мною.

Text 22:: May the Lord, who in the beginning of the creation amplified the potent knowledge of Brahmā from within his heart and inspired him with full knowledge of creation and of His own Self, and who appeared to be generated from the mouth of Brahmā, be pleased with me.

ТЕКСТ 23:: Пусть же Верховная Личность Бога, которая, входя в эту вселенную, вдыхает жизнь в тела, созданные из материальных элементов, и которая в Своем воплощении пуруши заставляет живое существо подчиняться шестнадцати проявлениям материальных гун, порождающим его, сделает мои речи приятными для слуха.

Text 23:: May the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who enlivens the materially created bodies of the elements by lying down within the universe, and who in His puruṣa incarnation causes the living being to be subjected to the sixteen divisions of material modes which are his generator, be pleased to decorate my statements.

ТЕКСТ 24:: Я в глубоком почтении склоняюсь перед Шрилой Вьясадевой, воплощением Васудевы, составившим ведические писания. Чистые преданные пьют нектар трансцендентных знаний, стекающий с лотосоподобных уст Господа.

Text 24:: I offer my respectful obeisances unto Śrīla Vyāsadeva, the incarnation of Vāsudeva who compiled the Vedic scriptures. The pure devotees drink up the nectarean transcendental knowledge dropping from the lotuslike mouth of the Lord.

ТЕКСТ 25:: Дорогой царь, отвечая на вопросы Нарады, Брахма, первый из живых существ, слово в слово повторил все, что Сам Господь поведал собственному сыну, обладавшему ведическим знанием с самого рождения.

Text 25:: My dear King, Brahmā, the firstborn, on being questioned by Nārada, exactly apprised him on this subject as it had been directly spoken by the Lord to His own son, who was impregnated with Vedic knowledge from his very birth.
