udārāḥ sarva evaite
jñānī tv ātmaiva me matam
āsthitaḥ sa hi yuktātmā
mām evānuttamāṁ gatim

Translation

Todos esses devotos são sem dúvida almas magnânimas, mas aquele que cultiva o conhecimento acerca de Mim, Eu o considero como sendo tal qual Eu mesmo. Ocupando-se em Me prestar serviço transcendental, ele com certeza Me alcançará, e esta é a meta mais elevada e perfeita.

All these devotees are undoubtedly magnanimous souls, but he who is situated in knowledge of Me I consider to be just like My own self. Being engaged in My transcendental service, he is sure to attain Me, the highest and most perfect goal.

Ninguém deve ficar pensando que os devotos que não têm tanto conhecimento não são queridos pelo Senhor. O Senhor diz que todos eles são magnânimos porque qualquer um que se dirige ao Senhor por qualquer propósito é chamado de mahātmā, ou grande alma. Os devotos que querem algum benefício em troca do serviço devocional são aceitos pelo Senhor porque há uma troca de afeto. Por afeição, eles pedem ao Senhor algum benefício material, e quando obtêm isto, eles ficam tão satisfeitos que também avançam em serviço devocional. Mas o devoto com conhecimento pleno é considerado muito querido pelo Senhor porque seu único propósito é servir ao Senhor Supremo com amor e devoção. Semelhante devoto não pode viver um segundo sem entrar em contato com o Senhor Supremo ou sem Lhe prestar serviço. Da mesma forma, o Senhor Supremo gosta muito de Seu devoto e não consegue separar-Se dele.

It is not that devotees who are less complete in knowledge are not dear to the Lord. The Lord says that all are magnanimous because anyone who comes to the Lord for any purpose is called a mahātmā, or great soul. The devotees who want some benefit out of devotional service are accepted by the Lord because there is an exchange of affection. Out of affection they ask the Lord for some material benefit, and when they get it they become so satisfied that they also advance in devotional service. But the devotee in full knowledge is considered to be very dear to the Lord because his only purpose is to serve the Supreme Lord with love and devotion. Such a devotee cannot live a second without contacting or serving the Supreme Lord. Similarly, the Supreme Lord is very fond of His devotee and cannot be separated from him.

No Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (9.4.68), o Senhor diz:

In the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (9.4.68), the Lord says:

sādhavo hṛdayaṁ mahyaṁ
sādhūnāṁ hṛdayaṁ tv aham
mad-anyat te na jānanti
nāhaṁ tebhyo manāg api

“Os devotos estão sempre no Meu coração, e Eu sempre estou nos corações dos devotos. O devoto não conhece nada além de Mim, e Eu também não consigo esquecer o devoto. Entre Mim e os devotos puros, há um relacionamento muito íntimo. Os devotos puros com conhecimento pleno nunca perdem o contato espiritual, e por isso eles são muitíssimo queridos a Mim.”

“The devotees are always in My heart, and I am always in the hearts of the devotees. The devotee does not know anything beyond Me, and I also cannot forget the devotee. There is a very intimate relationship between Me and the pure devotees. Pure devotees in full knowledge are never out of spiritual touch, and therefore they are very much dear to Me.”
