kaccid etac chrutaṁ pārtha
tvayaikāgreṇa cetasā
kaccid ajñāna-sammohaḥ
praṇaṣṭas te dhanañ-jaya

Translation

Ó filho de Pṛthā, ó conquistador de riquezas, será que você ouviu isto com a mente atenta? E acaso sua ignorância e ilusões já se dissiparam?

O son of Pṛthā, O conqueror of wealth, have you heard this with an attentive mind? And are your ignorance and illusions now dispelled?

Purport

O Senhor estava agindo como mestre espiritual de Arjuna. Por isso, era Seu dever perguntar a Arjuna se ele havia captado a verdadeira mensagem contida no Bhagavad-gītā. Caso contrário, o Senhor estava disposto a voltar a explicar qualquer ponto, ou todo o Bhagavad-gītā se necessário. De fato, qualquer um que ouve o Bhagavad-gītā transmitido por um mestre espiritual genuíno como Kṛṣṇa ou Seu representante perceberá que toda a sua ignorância se extingue. O Bhagavad-gītā não é um livro comum escrito por um poeta ou um autor de ficção; ele foi falado pela Suprema Personalidade de Deus. Todos que tiverem a imensa fortuna de ouvir estes ensinamentos de Kṛṣṇa ou de Seu representante espiritual genuíno com certeza serão liberados e sairão da escuridão da ignorância.

The Lord was acting as the spiritual master of Arjuna. Therefore it was His duty to inquire from Arjuna whether he understood the whole Bhagavad-gītā in its proper perspective. If not, the Lord was ready to re-explain any point, or the whole Bhagavad-gītā if so required. Actually, anyone who hears Bhagavad-gītā from a bona fide spiritual master like Kṛṣṇa or His representative will find that all his ignorance is dispelled. Bhagavad-gītā is not an ordinary book written by a poet or fiction writer; it is spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Any person fortunate enough to hear these teachings from Kṛṣṇa or from His bona fide spiritual representative is sure to become a liberated person and get out of the darkness of ignorance.
