Translation
Bṛhaspati dijo a Mamatā: «¡Estúpida mujer!, ese niño, aunque haya nacido de la esposa de un hombre fecundada con el semen de otro hombre, tienes que mantenerlo tú». Al escuchar esto, Mamatā contestó: «¡Oh, Bhṛhaspati!, ¡manténlo tú!». Tras cambiar estas palabras, tanto Bhṛhaspati como Mamatā se marcharon. El niño fue conocido a partir de entonces con el nombre de Bharadvāja.
Bṛhaspati said to Mamatā, “You foolish woman, although this child was born from the wife of one man through the semen discharged by another, you should maintain him.” Upon hearing this, Mamatā replied, “O Bṛhaspati, you maintain him!” After speaking in this way, Bṛhaspati and Mamatā both left. Thus the child was known as Bharadvāja.
