Traducción

Translation

Mahārāja Nimi, que era un alma autorrealizada, pensó que la vida puede terminar en cualquier momento. Por eso, en lugar de esperar tanto tiempo a que regresara Vasiṣṭha, dio comienzo al sacrificio con otros sacerdotes.

Mahārāja Nimi, being a self-realized soul, considered that this life is flickering. Therefore, instead of waiting long for Vasiṣṭha, he began performing the sacrifice with other priests.

Purport

Cāṇakya Paṇḍita dice: śarīraṁ kṣaṇa-vidhvāṁsi kalpānta-sthāyino guṇāḥ: «En el mundo material, nuestro tiempo de vida puede terminar en cualquier momento, pero, si en ese período de vida hacemos algo digno, la historia recordará eternamente nuestro mérito». Mahārāja Nimi, que era una gran personalidad, conocía bien este hecho. En la forma de vida humana debemos actuar de manera que al final vayamos de regreso al hogar, de vuelta a Dios.

Cāṇakya Paṇḍita says, śarīraṁ kṣaṇa-vidhvāṁsi kalpānta-sthāyino guṇāḥ: “The duration of one’s life in the material world may end at any moment, but if within this life one does something worthy, that qualification is depicted in history eternally.” Here is a great personality, Mahārāja Nimi, who knew this fact. In the human form of life one should perform activities in such a way that at the end he goes back home, back to Godhead. This is self-realization.
