namo namas tubhyam asahya-vega-
śakti-trayāyākhila-dhī-guṇāya
prapanna-pālāya duranta-śaktaye
kad-indriyāṇām anavāpya-vartmane

Translation

Mi Señor, Tú ejerces Tu control con la formidable potencia de tres tipos de energías. Tú apareces como receptáculo de todos los placeres de los sentidos y como protector de las almas entregadas. Posees ilimitada energía, pero eres inaccesible para quienes no pueden controlar sus sentidos. Yo Te ofrezco respetuosas reverencias una y otra vez.

My Lord, You are the controller of formidable strength in three kinds of energy. You appear as the reservoir of all sense pleasure and the protector of the surrendered souls. You possess unlimited energy, but You are unapproachable by those who are unable to control their senses. I offer my respectful obeisances unto You again and again.

Purport

El apego, la codicia y la lujuria son tres fuerzas formidables que nos impiden concentrarnos en los pies de loto de la Suprema Personalidad de Dios. Esas fuerzas actúan porque al Señor Supremo no Le gusta que los ateos y no devotos lleguen a percibirle. Sin embargo, cuando nos entregamos a los pies de loto del Señor, esos obstáculos se retiran y podemos percibir a la Suprema Personalidad de Dios. El Señor es, por lo tanto, el protector del alma entregada. No es posible ser devoto sin entregarse a los pies de loto del Señor. Cuando nos entregamos al Señor, Él nos da desde el corazón la inteligencia para que podamos ir de regreso al hogar, de vuelta a Dios.

Attachment, greed and lust are three formidable forces that prevent one from concentrating upon the lotus feet of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. These forces act because the Supreme Lord does not like to be realized by nondevotees and atheists. However, when one surrenders unto the lotus feet of the Lord, these impediments are withdrawn, and one can realize the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Therefore the Lord is the protector of the surrendered soul. One cannot become a devotee until one surrenders unto the Lord’s lotus feet. Then the Lord gives one the intelligence from within by which one can return home, back to Godhead.
