yad dhasta-mukto nṛhariṁ mahāsuraḥ
punas tam āsajjata khaḍga-carmaṇī
pragṛhya vegena gata-śramo mṛdhe

Translation

Cuando se vio libre de las manos de Nṛsiṁhadeva, Hiraṇyakaśipu pensó, equivocadamente, que el Señor estaba asustado de su poder. Por eso, después de tomarse un pequeño respiro, tomó su espada y su escudo y atacó de nuevo al Señor con gran fuerza.

When Hiraṇyakaśipu was freed from the hands of Nṛsiṁhadeva, he falsely thought that the Lord was afraid of his prowess. Therefore, after taking a little rest from the fight, he took up his sword and shield and again attacked the Lord with great force.

Significado

Purport

Los necios, cuando ven que un pecador disfruta de bienestar material, a veces piensan: «¿Cómo es posible? Este pecador disfruta de la vida, mientras que otros, que son piadosos, están sufriendo». A veces, por la voluntad del Señor, un pecador recibe la oportunidad de disfrutar del mundo material como si no estuviese bajo las garras de la naturaleza material, pero todo ello no es más que un engaño. El pecador que va en contra de las leyes de la naturaleza tiene que recibir un castigo, pero a veces se le da la oportunidad de divertirse, como le ocurrió a Hiraṇyakaśipu, cuando se vio libre de las manos de Nṛsiṁhadeva. El destino de Hiraṇyakaśipu era morir a manos de Nṛsiṁhadeva, pero el Señor, por diversión, le dio la oportunidad de soltarse de Sus manos.

When a sinful man enjoys material facilities, foolish people sometimes think, “How is it that this sinful man is enjoying whereas a pious man is suffering?” By the will of the Supreme, a sinful man is sometimes given the chance to enjoy the material world as if he were not under the clutches of material nature, just so that he may be fooled. A sinful man who acts against the laws of nature must be punished, but sometimes he is given a chance to play, exactly like Hiraṇyakaśipu when he was released from the hands of Nṛsiṁhadeva. Hiraṇyakaśipu was destined to be ultimately killed by Nṛsiṁhadeva, but just to see the fun, the Lord gave him a chance to slip from His hands.
