buddhi-bhedaḥ para-kṛta
utāho te svato ’bhavat
bhaṇyatāṁ śrotu-kāmānāṁ
gurūṇāṁ kula-nandana

Translation

¡Oh, tú, el mejor de tu familia!, ¿Cómo se ha contaminado tu inteligencia?; ¿se debe a ti mismo o han sido los enemigos? Somos tus maestros y estamos muy deseosos de saberlo. Por favor, dinos la verdad.

O best of your family, has this pollution of your intelligence been brought about by you or by the enemies? We are all your teachers and are very eager to hear about this. Please tell us the truth.

Purport

Los maestros de Prahlāda Mahārāja estaban asombrados de que un niño pequeño pudiera exponer una filosofía tan sublime como la vaiṣṇava. Por esa razón, le preguntaron quiénes habían sido los vaiṣṇavas que se la habían enseñado a escondidas, a fin de detenerlos y ajusticiarlos en presencia de Hiraṇyakaśipu, el padre de Prahlāda Mahārāja.

Prahlāda Mahārāja’s teachers were astonished that a small boy could speak such exalted Vaiṣṇava philosophy. Therefore they inquired about the Vaiṣṇavas who stealthily taught it to him, in order that these Vaiṣṇavas might be arrested and killed in the presence of Prahlāda’s father, Hiraṇyakaśipu.
