deha-dehi-vibhāgo ’yam
aviveka-kṛtaḥ purā
jāti-vyakti-vibhāgo ’yaṁ
yathā vastuni kalpitaḥ

Translation

La nacionalidad, la individualidad y todas las demás divisiones generales y específicas, son imaginaciones de personas que no han avanzado en el cultivo de conocimiento.

Divisions of generalization and specification, such as nationality and individuality, are the imaginations of persons who are not advanced in knowledge.

Significado

Purport

En realidad, existen dos energías, la material y la espiritual. Ambas existen eternamente, pues son emanaciones de la verdad eterna, el Señor Supremo. Desde tiempo inmemorial, el alma individual, la entidad viviente individual, ha deseado actuar olvidando su identidad original; debido a ello, por distintas situaciones conforme a sus distintos cuerpos materiales, se identifica con un sinfín de divisiones basadas en la nacionalidad, la comunidad, la especie, etc.

Actually there are two energies — material and spiritual. Both of them are ever-existing because they are emanations from the eternal truth, the Supreme Lord. Because the individual soul, the individual living entity, has desired to act in forgetfulness of his original identity since time immemorial, he is accepting different positions in material bodies and being designated according to many divisions of nationality, community, society, species and so on.
