Traducción

Translation

Mientras masticaba y comía su alimento, Ajāmila llamaba al niño para que comiera con él, y cuando bebía, lo llamaba para que también él bebiese. Siempre dedicado a cuidar del niño y a pronunciar su nombre, Nārāyaṇa, Ajāmila no se daba cuenta de que su tiempo se agotaba y la muerte se le echaba encima.

When Ajāmila chewed food and ate it, he called the child to chew and eat, and when he drank he called the child to drink also. Always engaged in taking care of the child and calling his name, Nārāyaṇa, Ajāmila could not understand that his own time was now exhausted and that death was upon him.

Purport

La Suprema Personalidad de Dios es bondadoso con el alma condicionada. Aquel hombre había olvidado por completo a Nārāyaṇa, pero, al llamar a su hijo, decía: «Nārāyaṇa, por favor, ven a comer esto», «Nārāyaṇa, por favor, ven a tomar la leche». Por esa razón, de una forma u otra se había apegado al nombre de Nārāyaṇa. Esto recibe el nombre deajñāta-sukṛti. Aunque llamaba a su hijo, sin darse cuenta estaba pronunciando el nombre de Nārāyaṇa; el santo nombre de la Suprema Personalidad de Dios tiene tanta potencia trascendental, que su canto estaba siendo registrado y tenido en cuenta.

The Supreme Personality of Godhead is kind to the conditioned soul. Although this man completely forgot Nārāyaṇa, he was calling his child, saying, “Nārāyaṇa, please come eat this food. Nārāyaṇa, please come drink this milk.” Somehow or other, therefore, he was attached to the name Nārāyaṇa. This is called ajñāta-sukṛti. Although calling for his son, he was unknowingly chanting the name of Nārāyaṇa, and the holy name of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is so transcendentally powerful that his chanting was being counted and recorded.
