teṣām āpatatāṁ vegaṁ
niśāmya bhagavān bhṛguḥ
yajña-ghna-ghnena yajuṣā
dakṣiṇāgnau juhāva ha

Translation

Se abrieron paso violentamente, pero Bhṛgu Muni vio el peligro, y ofreciendo oblaciones en el lado sur del fuego de sacrificio, sin perder un instante pronunció unos himnos mántricos del Yajur Veda que podían provocar la muerte inmediata a los destructores de las ejecuciones de yajña.

They came forward forcibly, but Bhṛgu Muni saw the danger and, offering oblations into the southern side of the sacrificial fire, immediately uttered mantric hymns from the Yajur Veda by which the destroyers of yajñic performances could be killed immediately.

He aquí un ejemplo de los actos maravillosos que se podían ejecutar con el canto de los poderosos himnos de los Vedas. En la era actual, la era de Kali, no hay posibilidad de encontrar personas expertas en el canto de mantras; esa es la razón de que en esta era estén prohibidos todos los sacrificios que se recomiendan en los Vedas. El único sacrificio recomendado para esta era es el canto del mantra Hare Kṛṣṇa, pues en Kali-yuga no hay posibilidad de reunir los fondos necesarios para ejecutar sacrificios, y mucho menos de encontrar brāhmaṇas expertos que puedan cantar los mantras a la perfección.

Here is one example of powerful hymns in the Vedas which, when chanted, could perform wonderful acts. In the present Age of Kali it is not possible to find expert mantra chanters; therefore all the sacrifices recommended in the Vedas are forbidden in this age. The only sacrifice recommended in this age is the chanting of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra because in this age it is not possible to accumulate the needed funds for performing sacrifices, not to speak of finding expert brāhmaṇas who can chant the mantras perfectly.
