Translation

El planeta Tierra surtió a todos con sus respectivos alimentos. En tiempos del rey Pṛthu, la Tierra estuvo por completo bajo el control del rey. De esta forma, todos los habitantes pudieron obtener el alimento que necesitaban creando distintas clases de terneros y recogiendo las distintas clases de leche en vasijas adecuadas.

The planet earth supplied everyone his respective food. During the time of King Pṛthu, the earth was fully under the control of the King. Thus all the inhabitants of the earth could get their food supply by creating various types of calves and putting their particular types of milk in various pots.

Purport

Esto es una prueba de que el Señor provee a todos de alimento. Como se confirma en los Vedas: eko bahūnāṁ yo vidadhāti kāmān. Aunque el Señor es uno, provee a todos de lo que necesitan por intermedio del planeta Tierra. Hay gran variedad de especies de entidades vivientes en muchos planetas distintos, y todas ellas obtienen su alimento de sus propios planetas por diversos procedimientos. Teniendo en cuenta esto, ¿cómo se puede pretender que en la Luna no hay entidades vivientes? Todas las lunas son como la Tierra, en el sentido de que están compuestas de los cinco elementos. Cada planeta produce distintas clases de alimentos, conforme a las necesidades de sus habitantes. Según los śāstras védicos, no es cierto que la Luna no produzca alimentos, o que en ella no viva ninguna entidad viviente.

This is evidence that the Lord supplies food to everyone. As confirmed in the Vedas, eko bahūnāṁ yo vidadhāti kāmān: although the Lord is one, He is supplying all necessities to everyone through the medium of the planet earth. There are different varieties of living entities on different planets, and they all derive their eatables from their planets in different forms. On the basis of these descriptions, how can one assume that there is no living entity on the moon? Every moon is earthly, being composed of the five elements. Every planet produces different types of food according to the needs of its residents. According to the Vedic śāstras, it is not true that the moon does not produce food or that no living entity is living there.
