Traducción

Translation

Mejores que las entidades vivientes que pueden percibir el sonido son las que pueden distinguir entre una forma y otra. Mejores que ellas son las que cuentan con grupos de dientes superiores e inferiores, y todavía mejores son las que tienen muchas patas. Mejores que ellas son los cuadrúpedos, y todavía mejores son los seres humanos.

Better than those living entities who can perceive sound are those who can distinguish between one form and another. Better than them are those who have developed upper and lower sets of teeth, and better still are those who have many legs. Better than them are the quadrupeds, and better still are the human beings.

Purport

Se dice que algunas aves, como los cuervos, pueden distinguir una forma de otra. Las entidades vivientes que tienen muchas patas, como la avispa, son mejores que las plantas y las hierbas, que no tienen patas. Los animales de cuatro patas son mejores que las entidades vivientes de muchas patas, y mejor que los animales es el ser humano, que solo tiene dos piernas.

It is said that certain birds, such as crows, can distinguish one form from another. Living entities that have many legs, like the wasp, are better than plants and grasses, which have no legs. Four-legged animals are better than many-legged living entities, and better than the animals is the human being, who has only two legs.
