Translation

El cuerpo que Brahmā abandonó tomó la forma del crepúsculo vespertino, el momento en que el día y la noche se encuentran, hora que enciende la pasión. Los asuras, apasionados por naturaleza, como el elemento rajas es más fuerte que ellos, creyeron que se trataba de una jovencita, en cuyos pies de loto resonaba el tintineo de las ajorcas, cuyos ojos estaban agrandados por la embriaguez y cuyas caderas estaban cubiertas por un hermoso vestido, por encima del cual brillaba un cinturón.

The body given up by Brahmā took the form of the evening twilight, when the day and night meet, a time which kindles passion. The asuras, who are passionate by nature, dominated as they are by the element of rajas, took it for a damsel, whose lotus feet resounded with the tinkling of anklets, whose eyes were wide with intoxication and whose hips were covered by fine cloth, over which shone a girdle.

Así como las primeras horas de la mañana son el período para el cultivo espiritual, el principio de la noche es el período para la pasión. Los hombres demoníacos generalmente están muy apegados al disfrute sexual; por eso aprecian mucho la llegada de la noche. Los demonios creyeron que el crepúsculo vespertino que se acercaba era una mujer hermosa, y empezaron a dedicarle palabras aduladoras. Se imaginaron que el crepúsculo era una mujer muy hermosa con ajorcas tintineantes en los pies, un cinturón sobre las caderas, y hermosos pechos; buscando su satisfacción sexual, se imaginaron la aparición ante ellos de esa hermosa muchacha.

As early morning is the period for spiritual cultivation, the beginning of evening is the period for passion. Demoniac men are generally very fond of sex enjoyment; therefore they very much appreciate the approach of evening. The demons took the approach of the evening twilight to be a beautiful woman, and they began to adore her in various ways. They imagined the twilight to be a very beautiful woman with tinkling bangles on her feet, a girdle on her hips, and beautiful breasts, and for their sexual satisfaction they imagined the appearance of this beautiful girl before them.
