brahmaṇyasya paraṁ daivaṁ
brāhmaṇāḥ kila te prabho
viprāṇāṁ deva-devānāṁ
bhagavān ātma-daivatam

Translation

¡Oh, Señor! Tú eres el supremo director de la cultura brahmínica. El hecho de considerar que los brāhmaṇas están en la posición más elevada es Tu ejemplo para que otros aprendan. La realidad es que Tú eres la Deidad adorable suprema, no solo para los dioses, sino también para los brāhmaṇas.

O Lord, You are the supreme director of the brahminical culture. Your considering the brāhmaṇas to be in the highest position is Your example for teaching others. Actually You are the supreme worshipable Deity, not only for the gods but for the brāhmaṇas also.

Purport

En la Brahma-saṁhitā se afirma claramente que la Suprema Personalidad de Dios es la causa de toda causa. Indudablemente hay muchos semidioses, siendo los principales Brahmā y Śiva. Śrī Viṣṇu es el Señor de Brahmā y Śiva, y ni qué decir tiene que lo es también de los brāhmaṇas de este mundo material. Como se indica en el Bhagavad-gītā, el Señor Supremo es muy partidario de toda clase de actividades que se hagan siguiendo la cultura brahmínica, es decir, las cualidades de control de la mente y los sentidos, limpieza, tolerancia, fe en las Escrituras, y conocimiento práctico y teórico. El Señor es la Superalma de todos. En el Bhagavad-gītā se dice que el Señor es la fuente de todas las emanaciones; también es, entonces, el origen de Brahmā y Śiva.

In the Brahma-saṁhitā it is clearly stated that the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the cause of all causes. There are undoubtedly many demigods, the chiefs of whom are Brahmā and Śiva. Lord Viṣṇu is the Lord of Brahmā and Śiva, not to speak of the brāhmaṇas in this material world. As mentioned in Bhagavad-gītā, the Supreme Lord is very favorable towards all activities performed according to brahminical culture, or the qualities of control of the senses and mind, cleanliness, forbearance, faith in scripture, and practical and theoretical knowledge. The Lord is the Supersoul of everyone. In Bhagavad-gītā it is said that the Lord is the source of all emanations; thus He is also the source of Brahmā and Śiva.
