Translation
Al ver que el gigantesco pato había devorado a Kṛṣṇa, Balarāma y los demás niños quedaron prácticamente inconscientes, como sentidos sin vida.
When Balarāma and the other boys saw that Kṛṣṇa had been devoured by the gigantic duck, they became almost unconscious, like senses without life.

Purport
Balarāma puede hacer todo lo que desee, pero, llevado del intenso cariño por Su hermano, quedó momentáneamente confuso. Se afirma que algo parecido sucedió durante el rapto de Rukmiṇī, rukmiṇī-haraṇa. Cuando Kṛṣṇa, después de raptar a Rukmiṇī, fue atacado por todos los reyes, Rukmiṇī pasó momentos de confusión, hasta que el Señor tomó las medidas necesarias.
Although Balarāma can do everything, because of intense affection for His brother He was momentarily bewildered. A similar thing is stated to have happened in connection with rukmiṇī-haraṇa, the kidnapping of Rukmiṇī. When Kṛṣṇa, after kidnapping Rukmiṇī, was attacked by all the kings, Rukmiṇī was momentarily bewildered, until the Lord took the proper steps.
