Translation

Entonces, Śrī Kṛṣṇa sujetó al demonio por las patas traseras y la cola, hizo girar el cuerpo del demonio con mucha fuerza hasta que murió, y lo lanzó a lo alto de un árbol kapittha, que se vino abajo junto con el cuerpo del demonio, que había adoptado una forma enorme.

Thereafter, Śrī Kṛṣṇa caught the demon by the hind legs and tail, twirled the demon’s whole body very strongly until the demon was dead, and threw him into the top of a kapittha tree, which then fell down, along with the body of the demon, who had assumed a great form.

Purport

Kṛṣṇa mató al demonio de esa forma para que cayesen las frutas kapittha, de modo que Él, Balarāma y los demás niños pudieran aprovechar la oportunidad para comerlas. La kapittha recibe a veces el nombre de kṣatbelphala. La pulpa de esa fruta es muy sabrosa. Es dulce y agria a la vez, y a todo el mundo le gusta.

Kṛṣṇa killed the demon in such a way as to get the kapittha fruits to fall so that He and Balarāma and the other boys could take advantage of the opportunity to eat them. The kapittha is sometimes called kṣatbelphala. The pulp of this fruit is very palatable. It is sweet and sour, and everyone likes it.
