Translation

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu pasó aquella noche en casa del brāhmaṇa. Luego, después de darle Su misericordia, el Señor partió hacia el río Tāmraparṇī, en Pāṇḍya-deśa.

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu passed that night in the house of the brāhmaṇa. Then, after showing him mercy, the Lord started toward the Tāmraparṇī River in Pāṇḍya-deśa.

Significado

Purport

Pāṇḍya-deśa está situado en la región del sur de la India llamada Kerala y Cola. En todas esas regiones hubo muchos reyes que utilizaron el título de Pāṇḍya y que gobernaron sobre Madurai y Rāmeśvara. El río Tāmraparṇī se menciona en el Rāmāyaṇa. El Tamraparṇī, conocido también con el nombre de Puruṇai, pasa por Tirunelveli antes de desembocar en la bahía de Bengala. Tāmraparṇī se menciona también en el Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (11.5.39).

Pāṇḍya-deśa is situated in the southern part of India known as Kerala and Cola. In all these areas there were many kings with the title Pāṇḍya who ruled over Madurai and Rāmeśvara. In the Rāmāyaṇa the Tāmraparṇī River is mentioned. The Tāmraparṇī, also known as the Puruṇai, flows through Tirunelveli before entering the Bay of Bengal. The Tāmraparṇī River is also mentioned in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (11.5.39).
