siddhāntatas tv abhede ’pi
śrīśa-kṛṣṇa-svarūpayoḥ
rasenotkṛṣyate kṛṣṇa-
rūpam eṣā rasa-sthitiḥ

Translation

«“Conforme a la comprensión trascendental, no hay diferencia entre las formas de Kṛṣṇa y Nārāyaṇa. Kṛṣṇa, sin embargo, ejerce una atracción trascendental muy especial debida a la melosidad conyugal, y por ello supera a Nārāyaṇa. Ésa es la conclusión de las melosidades trascendentales.”

“ ‘According to transcendental realization, there is no difference between the forms of Kṛṣṇa and Nārāyaṇa. Yet in Kṛṣṇa there is a special transcendental attraction due to the conjugal mellow, and consequently He surpasses Nārāyaṇa. This is the conclusion of transcendental mellows.’

Éste es un verso del Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu (1.2.59). En la narración de Śrīla Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja vemos que el Señor Caitanya habló este verso a Veṅkata Bhaṭṭa, y un poco antes vimos que fue Veṅkata Bhaṭṭa quien lo habló al Señor. Pero la conversación que mantuvieron ocurrió muchísimo tiempo antes de que se escribiera el Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu. Por ello cabría preguntarse cómo es que ambos citaron el verso. Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura explica que este verso, y muchos otros como éste, eran conocidos entre los devotos desde mucho antes de que se escribiera el Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu. Por eso los devotos solían citarlos y comentar con gran éxtasis su significado.

This is a verse from the Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu (1.2.59). Here Śrīla Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja says that Lord Caitanya spoke the verse to Veṅkaṭa Bhaṭṭa, and earlier he said that Veṅkaṭa Bhaṭṭa spoke it to the Lord. But since their conversation took place long, long before the Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu was composed, the question my be raised as to how either of them quoted the verse. Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura explains that this verse and many others like it were current among devotees long before the Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu was composed. Thus devotees would always quote them and explain their purport in ecstasy.
