naṅkṣyanti no me ’nimiṣo leḍhi hetiḥ
yeṣām ahaṁ priya ātmā sutaś ca
sakhā guruḥ suhṛdo daivam iṣṭam

Translation

«“¡Mi querida madre, Devahūti!, ¡oh, símbolo de paz! Mi arma, el disco del tiempo, nunca destruye a aquellos para quienes soy muy querido, para quienes soy la Superalma, el hijo, el amigo, el maestro espiritual, el bienqueriente, la Deidad adorable y el objetivo deseado. Los devotos están siempre apegados a Mí, y por ello nunca son destruidos por los agentes del tiempo.”

“ ‘My dear mother, Devahūti! O emblem of peace! My weapon, the disc of time, never vanquishes those for whom I am very dear — for whom I am the Supersoul, son, friend, spiritual master, well-wisher, worshipable Deity and desired goal. Since the devotees are always attached to Me, they are never vanquished by the agents of time.’

Este verso fue hablado por Kapiladeva a Su madre Devahūti y se recoge en el Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (3.25.38). Kapiladeva instruyó a Su madre en sāṅkhya-yoga, pero en este verso se menciona la importancia del bhakti-yoga. Más tarde, los ateos imitaron el sāṅkhya-yoga con un sistema inventado por un Kapiladeva distinto, Ṛṣi Kapiladeva.

This was spoken by Kapiladeva to His mother Devahūti and is recorded in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (3.25.38). Kapiladeva instructed His mother in sāṅkhya-yoga, but the importance of bhakti-yoga is mentioned here. Later sāṅhkya-yoga was imitated by atheists, whose system was founded by a different Kapiladeva, Ṛṣi Kapiladeva.
