Una vez en Mathurā, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu Se bañó en Viśrāma-ghāṭa. A continuación visitó el lugar de nacimiento de Kṛṣṇa y vio la Deidad de Keśavajī, a la que ofreció respetuosas reverencias.
When Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu entered the city of Mathurā, He took His bath at Viśrāma-ghāṭa. He then visited the birthplace of Kṛṣṇa and saw the Deity named Keśavajī. He offered His respectful obeisances to this Deity.

En la actualidad se han hecho grandes mejoras en el templo de Keśavajī. En el pasado, el emperador Aurangzeb atacó el Keśavajī-mandira y construyó en el lugar una mezquita tan grande que, comparado con ella, el templo era insignificante. Pero, con la ayuda de muchos ricos maḍwārīs, se han hecho mejoras y se está construyendo allí un enorme templo, de manera que, en comparación con él, la gran mezquita se ve disminuida. En el lugar se han hecho muchos descubrimientos arqueológicos, y en el extranjero son muchas las personas que empiezan a valorar debidamente el lugar del nacimiento de Kṛṣṇa. El movimiento para la conciencia de Kṛṣṇa atrae a muchos extranjeros al templo de Keśavajī; a partir de ahora, también se sentirán atraídos por el templo de Kṛṣṇa-Balarāma, en Vṛndāvana.
At the present moment, the temple of Keśavajī is very much improved. At one time, Keśavajī-mandira was attacked by the emperor Aurangzeb, who constructed such a big mosque there that the temple of Keśavajī was insignificant in comparison. But with the help of many rich Marwaris, the temple has been improved, and a very large temple is now being constructed so that the mosque is now appearing diminished in comparison. Many archeological discoveries have been made there, and many people from foreign countries are beginning to appreciate Kṛṣṇa’s birthplace. This Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement is attracting many foreigners to the Keśavajī temple, and now they will also be attracted by the Kṛṣṇa-Balarāma temple in Vṛndāvana.
