‘vedānta’ śravaṇa kara, nā yāiha tāṅra pāśa

Translation

«No vayas a ver a Caitanya. Continúa escuchando el vedānta. Si te relacionas con advenedizos, estarás perdido, tanto en este mundo como en el siguiente.»

“Do not go to see Caitanya. Just continue hearing Vedānta. If you associate with upstarts, you will be lost in this world and in the next.”

Significado

Purport

La palabra ucchṛṅkhala, que significa «caprichoso», es significativa en este verso. En la Bhagavad-gītā (16.23), el propio Señor Kṛṣṇa dice:

The word ucchṛṅkhala, meaning “whimsical,” is significant in this verse. In the Bhagavad-gītā (16.23), Lord Kṛṣṇa Himself says:

yaḥ śāstra-vidhim utsṛjya vartate kāma-kārataḥ
na sa siddhim avāpnoti na sukhaṁ na parāṁ gatim
yaḥ śāstra-vidhim utsṛjya vartate kāma-kārataḥ
na sa siddhim avāpnoti na sukhaṁ na parāṁ gatim

«Quien actúa de forma caprichosa y no sigue los principios de los śāstras, no alcanzará nunca la perfección, la felicidad ni el mundo espiritual».

“If one acts whimsically and does not follow the śāstric principles, he will never attain perfection, happiness or the spiritual world.”
