saṁyojya maitryā praṇayena dehinaḥ
tāṁś cākṛtārthān viyunaṅkṣy apārthakaṁ
viceṣṭitaṁ te ’rbhaka-ceṣṭitaṁ yathā

Traducción

Translation

«“¡Oh, Providencia!, ¡no tienes misericordia! Tú unes a las almas encarnadas con lazos de amistad y afecto, pero, antes de que sus deseos se satisfagan, las separas. Tus actividades son como las necias travesuras de un niño.”

“ ‘O Providence, you have no mercy! You bring embodied souls together through friendship and affection, but before their desires are fulfilled, you separate them. Your activities are like the foolish pranks of children.’

Purport

Este verso, una cita del Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (10.39.19), lo hablaron las doncellas de Vraja cuando Kṛṣṇa Se marchó de Vṛndāvana a Mathurā con Akrūra y Balarāma. Las gopīs se lamentaban de que la Providencia les había dado la oportunidad de establecer lazos de afecto y amor con Kṛṣṇa y Balarāma y luego los había separado.

This verse, quoted from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (10.39.19), was chanted by the damsels of Vraja when Kṛṣṇa left Vṛndāvana for Mathurā with Akrūra and Balarāma. The gopīs lamented that Providence had made it possible for them to meet Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma in affection and love and had then separated them.
