navāmbuda-lasad-dyutir nava-taḍin-manojñāmbaraḥ
sucitra-muralī-sphurac-charad-amanda-candrānanaḥ
mayūra-dala-bhūṣitaḥ subhaga-tāra-hāra-prabhaḥ
sa me madana-mohanaḥ sakhi tanoti netra-spṛhām

Translation

«“Mi querida amiga, el lustre del cuerpo de Kṛṣṇa es más brillante que el de una nube recién formada, y Sus ropas amarillas, más atractivas que un relámpago de súbito resplandor. Una pluma de pavo real adorna Su cabeza, y en el cuello lleva un exquisito collar de perlas brillantes. Cuando Se lleva a los labios Su encantadora flauta, Su rostro se ve tan hermoso como la Luna llena del otoño. Con esa belleza, Madana-mohana, el que cautiva a Cupido, aumenta el deseo que tienen Mis ojos de verle.”»

“ ‘My dear friend, the luster of Kṛṣṇa’s body is more brilliant than that of a newly formed cloud, and His yellow dress is more attractive than newly arrived lightning. A peacock feather decorates His head, and on His neck hangs a lovely necklace of brilliant pearls. As He holds His charming flute to His lips, His face looks as beautiful as the full autumn moon. By such beauty, Madana-mohana, the enchanter of Cupid, is increasing the desire of My eyes to see Him.’ ”
