Purport

Aquí se describe un esquema para llevar a cabo el kīrtana en procesión. En tiempos de Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, un grupo se componía de veintiún hombres: cuatro personas batiendo mṛdaṅgas, una dirigiendo el canto, y las otras dieciséis tocando karatālas en respuesta al cantor que dirigía. Si hay mucha gente que se une al movimiento de saṅkīrtana, pueden seguir los pasos de Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu y formar distintos grupos, según el tiempo y el número de personas de que se disponga.

This is a scheme for performing kīrtana in a procession. During Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s time, one party was composed of twenty-one men: four people playing mṛdaṅgas, one leading the chanting, and sixteen others striking karatālas, responding to the leading chanter. If many men join the saṅkīrtana movement, they may follow in the footsteps of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu and form different parties according to the time and the number of men available.
