Traducción
Mother Ganges replied: When I fall from the sky to the surface of the planet earth, the water will certainly be very forceful. Who will sustain that force? If I am not sustained, I shall pierce the surface of the earth and go down to Rasātala, the Pātāla area of the universe.
Madre Ganges contestó: La caída de mis aguas desde el cielo a la superficie del planeta Tierra será, sin duda alguna, muy violenta. ¿Quién contendrá esa fuerza? Si nadie me sostiene, atravesaré la superficie de la Tierra y descenderé hasta Rasātala, en la zona del universo en que se encuentran los Pātālas.
