Translation

Traducción

Because Nahuṣa, the father of Yayāti, molested Indra’s wife, Śacī, who then complained to Agastya and other brāhmaṇas, these saintly brāhmaṇas cursed Nahuṣa to fall from the heavenly planets and be degraded to the status of a python. Consequently, Yayāti became the king.

Śacī, la esposa de Indra, por el trato deshonesto que recibió de Nahuṣa, el padre de Yayāti, se fue a quejar a Agastya y otros brāhmaṇas santos, quienes maldijeron a Nahuṣa a caer de los planetas celestiales y verse degradado a un cuerpo de serpiente pitón.
